Well, before you start planning your glamorous future together, get some advice from someone who's been there.

Amanda Latona, former member of the girl group Innosense, is currently recording a solo album, but she's probably best known for her relationship with Backstreet Boy AJ McLean.

We asked the brunette bombshell what it's like to date a pop star. Latona revealed the personality traits you need to make it as a celeb's girlfriend.

Stay Grounded

It's easy for fame to go to your head -- even if you're not the famous one in the relationship. It's important to keep things in perspective. In order to deal with all the chaos, Latona says you have to remain "down to earth." "I never wanted to be Ms. Evil Queen so I'm always like, 'Hi, I'm very normal.'"

Be Confident

In a regular relationship, you might have to deal with the occasional annoying ex or a flirtatious friend. But when you're dating a pop star, there are millions of adoring female fans after your man. So girls who need constant reassurance from their guy may not be cut out for the job. "You have to be confident, definitely confident," Latona says.

Trust Him

"You have to be trusting. I remember when AJ was on the road, I would never think, 'He's cheating on me. What is he doing?' because if I ever did that, I would go nuts. I was away from him so much that I couldn't think about that. That took a while. It took some getting used to."

Be Supportive

"You have to be definitely supportive. You have to know that they're doing this because ... you have to understand that this is their career and this is what they have to do. You can't be the girlfriend who's like, 'I want you here' and 'you need to spend more time with me.' I was always like, 'You gotta do that? OK. Go do what you gotta do.'"
