It may still be October, but Aaron Carter is already thinking about Christmas.
"We're planning on a Christmas album, but we're not sure if we're going to do one," Aaron says from his home in Florida during some rare down time. "But we're definitely doing a Christmas tour. [I'll perform] a lot of my new stuff and a couple holiday songs here and there. We'll surprise ya."
According to a spokesperson at Jive/Zomba Canada, Aaron's upcoming tour will run from mid-November to mid-December and will also feature the A*Teens and Dreamstreet.
For the 13-year-old Aaron -- a certified diver, who says he'd be a marine biologist if he ever leaves the entertainment world -- a new tour means a new adventure with his friend, who lives about a mile from Aaron's home.
"I always like to travel with my friends," says Aaron, who likes to listen to bands like Limp Bizkit when he's not working. "My friend Craig is always with me, he goes on tour, {we get} tutored together. [He] goes almost everywhere I go."
Holding on to friends is something Aaron is determined to do no matter how famous he gets. His one piece of advice for pop star hopefuls is that they never forget who they used to hang out with.
"Just concentrate on what you're doing, but never forget your friends because they're always going to be there for you," he says.
That bit of advice could've come from Aaron's very famous older brother, and Backstreet Boy star, Nick.
"He's given me lots of advice," says Aaron, who recently wrapped up both a Broadway stint with "Seussical The Musical" and a summer tour in support of his latest album, "Oh Aaron". "He's always told me to watch out for a lot of the bad business people and for people who aren't really your friends."
In most other families, Aaron would easily win the most-famous-sibling award, so does he ever get jealous of his big brother's success or wish he didn't have to share the spotlight?
"Oh never," he says. "I wouldn't be able to do it without my brother. He's always been there for me. He's helped me get to my actual position."
Aaron and Nick teamed up on a couple of tracks for "Oh Aaron" and the younger brother has big plans for their musical future.
"I think Nick and I will be having a very, very successful time working together," he says.
Being a busy pop star means that Aaron doesn't have much time to spend chatting before he's got to move on to his next interview. But he does have one last thing he wants to say to any of his fans who may be reading this:
"Hope you enjoy all my new songs and everything I've come out with," he says. "Without you I'd be nothing."
