The audio can be heard on the station's website.

MJ: It's 6:43 at the MJ broadcast and I can't believe this. I'm gonna guess that Froggy has got someone impersonating Nick on the telephone.

Froggy: Ok

MJ: Nick is that you?

Nick: Yep

MJ: Ehh.. It's Nick Carter.. from the Backstreet Boys. Hello Nick. It's MJ. We're live on the air.

Nick: What's up bro?

MJ: Well uh .. Froggy is unemployed after today.. even though you've called in.

Nick: Whaaatt?

MJ: Nick .. you told Froggy that you promised that you were going to call in yesterday.. and Froggy tells me that you even asked him 'Will your job be in jeopardy if I don't call in on Monday morning?' and Froggy apparently said yes.

Nick: MJ....

MJ: And Froggy .. what did he say to you after that?

Froggy: He said, if I don't call in, Froggy, and you get fired. I'll just write you a check and you'll live the rest of your live, don't worry about it.

Nick: Oh my goodness. Don't fire him. It was my fault. It was my fault.

MJ: That's right.. then you've got to write a check.

Nick: Whaaatt? Wait a minute.

MJ: You've got to write a check then..

Froggy: Nick.. what's 50 grand to you ?

Nick: 50 grand?? Good Lord (he laughs).. Good Lord..that's a lot of money.

MJ: Uh Nick..

Nick: What's up?

MJ: 25 thousand dollars.. that's what it's going to take for Froggy. You know what? If you write Froggy a 25 thousand dollar check, I will not fire him.

Nick: Oh really?

MJ:Yes

(Nick laughs)

Froggy: That's a deal

Nick: We got to negotiate something.

MJ: No no no.. there's no negotiation here.

Froggy: He's into negotiating now.

MJ: Nick, if you write Froggy a 25 thousand dollar check, I will keep him on staff.

(Nick laughs): Ah come on man. Everybody loves Froggy.

MJ: Well just cuz I might like him personally, I can still fire him professionally.

Froggy: You heard him say it's his fault. It's not mine.

MJ: Alright Nick. So if you write Froggy a 25 thousand dollar check.. Nick, Froggy lives pay check to pay check man. This guy is sweaking (?) by. And you're this multi-jillionaire national and worldwide recording artist with the Backstreet Boys. One of the most successful groups of the last decade.. You know with gross revenues of concerts and cd sales, and merchandising

Froggy: He knows that.

MJ: Nick..

Nick: You're the biggest station in the USA.

MJ: In the world..

(Froggy laughs)

MJ: Unfortunately, Froggy is not reaping the financial benefits of that.

Froggy: Isn't that the truth..

MJ: So Nick.. I need you to write Froggy a 25 thousand.. If you write Froggy a 25 thousand dollar check, which you won't even miss that. If you write him a 25 thousand dollar check, I will not fire him. Nick, it's in your hands. What is your answer?

Nick (says fast): How about we make it about playing a basketball game?

MJ: Say it again?

Nick: How about we make it about playing a basketball game?

MJ: And if Froggy beats you, you write him a 25 thousand dollar check?

Nick: Oh, I don't know about that. I'm might.. (Nick laughs). I'd like to donate the money to charity.

MJ: Well the Froggy charity. That is a 5 0 1 C3 I believe.

(Nick laughs)

MJ: Alright Nick, Let's get down to business here. You wanted to set the record straight about some of the allegations being made at the arrest for the uh... What was the actual charge Frog?

Froggy: Uh it was loitering and disobeying a police officer and resisting arrest without..

MJ: Resisiting arrest without violence..

Froggy: Right

MJ: And disobeying.. Nick, what did you want to set straight?

Nick: Well basically.. I mean.. everybody knows.. everybody knows you can't really talk too much about situations like this because this is you know.. a serious situation in certain cases. But I mean.. You know.. Basically I didn't do anything.. I didn't do nothing wrong. And if I had.. If I did disrespect the cop in anyway, I apologize to him. You know.. But uhm I'm not a bad person. I've always .. You know half the people I work with are either ex cops, bouncers, or bodyguards of some sort so .. And you know.. Basically that situation, I can only talk a little bit about that for certain reasons and you know why. But I think the main thing why I wanted to tell you, talk to you guys, is there are other rumors being said by certain people. Like I guess indecent .. you know.. conduct or whatever

MJ: Well there was the report.. there was a rumor Nick, that you pulled out your penis and exposed yourself..

Nick: Yeah.. uh huh I heard that. (He laughs) Well if anybody knows me, they know I'm not like that at all so..

MJ: Alright so you're saying that you did not pull out your unit and expose yourself.

Nick: I'm absolutely sure I did not do that.

MJ: So that's just an ugly rumor that..

Nick: Of course.. of course. Everybody likes to get the juicy stuff going but you know.. I'm not that kind of person and I have never really done anything like that ever

MJ: So you're categorically denying that there was no Nick Carter Backstreet Boy crotch exposure that night.

Nick: Never.. never will be.

MJ: Alright. I believe the guy but would you come in if we hooked up a polygraph to you?

(MJ and Nick laugh)

MJ: I want to hook up it to your crotch actually.

Nick (laughing): You guys are nuts.

MJ: Alright Nick. Where ya headed now? It sounds like you're uh.. What are you doing up so early?

Nick: I'm in the airport right now. Actually I'm headed over to LA to go do this AMAs with Kevin. Me and Kevin are going on with our artist from our record label, Krystal.

MJ: Oh that's right. The American Music Awards are tomorrow night, right?

Froggy: Right.

Nick: Yep. So we're going out there and I'm going out there to get things kicking again so you know..

MJ: WIth uh.. the hosts are Jenny McCarthy..

Froggy: and Puffy..

Nick: Oh really?

MJ: First of all. Jenny McCarthy.. what has she done in the last.. where has she been? Did they just pull her out of a coma?

Froggy: I think so.

(Nick laughs)

MJ: And Puff Daddy.. but they're calling him P. Diddy. I thought he said that that name P. Diddy was just a joke.

Froggy: Right

MJ: Because let's be honest. P. Diddy.. that's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. That's about the stupidest name you could come up with.

Nick (nervously laughs): Well..

MJ: I just don't think ...

Nick: No comment

MJ: Alright.

Froggy (laughs): He's learned with this ordeal.

Nick: He's rolled with the posse..

MJ: Yeah I hear ya. So Nick. What's the story with AJ? Because there were reports that he's drinking again. Do you have any information?

Nick: Oh I'm absolutely sure he's not drinking. I was just with him like a week ago.

MJ: So you're absolutely sure that he's still clean and sober?

Nick: Yeah. What's that non-alchoholic beer? O'dules?

MJ: O'dules, yeah

Nick: That's what he drinks..

MJ: Well that's good. That's a great step. And how about the future of the Backstreet Boys. What are the plans? Are the Backstreet Boys... And listen. If the Backstreet Boys ended today, you guys have had one heck of a run and you ought to be very proud of what you guys have accomplished. There are reports and there have been rumors that the Backstreet Boys are nearing the end of the cycle..

Nick: No I mean.. there's going to be rumors. I'll tell you the cool thing about us is we are all friends and we're basically like a family. So we know that even though we are on a little bit of a hiatus right now, we're going to come together and do things and maybe even do things individually and support each other. You know I think that's the main thing. If you support each other and everything that you do.. Anything and everything. It can go on forever..

MJ: Yeah but Nick. That tends to be the first sign though. If you guys are branching out and you're gonna start doing some solo projects.. a lot of times that signifies that the end might be near. And again, don't take this the wrong way.. you guys have had a heck of a run.

Nick: Right, well I'm telling you that it's not the end. Basically, it's not. I mean because we've got so more things to do. We're actually talking about uh.. recording a new record really soon.

MJ: And I was going to ask that.. are there plans to record a brand new cd?

Nick: Yes.. and there's also plans to do individual cds.

MJ: You know I've got a great idea for the new album cover.

Nick: What'? Oh don't even say it.

MJ: You can whip it out.. You want to guarantee some serious sales? You put a nude crotch shot inside the new cd so you have to buy it. You can't see it at the record store.

(Nick laughs)

MJ: And it has a safety seal on it and everything and inside the booklet - big nude crotch shot of Nick whipping it out. So even though you're saying that it never happened and it was a crazy stupid rumor and I tend to believe you. I don't think you whipped it out and flashed it around.

Nick: Nah..

MJ: I think it's just a crazy silly rumor. But look at how much attention that's gotten. Imagine if you really did it, you know how many cds you would get sold?

(Nick laughs)

Nick: Yeah.. that's crazy.

MJ: Alright Nick.

Nick: So yeah.. I think the one thing I was trying to tell you guys cuz I don't know if anyone saw me sing at the game.. the national anthem. But it was kind of like.. I was worried. I was thinking 'Hmm, what's going to happen?' So when I got up there and started singing.. you know right before I started singing.. You know.. I kind of got a little bit of boos and I kind of got a little bit of cheers here and there and I was a little worried and I had to sing a little extra hard. And I mean that's the thing too. Tampa Bay.. you know I've lived here almost all of my life, you know.. so they're very close to my heart. So I just want everybody to realize, you know.. that I'm not a rude person. I'm especially not a person who wants to put Tampa Bay on the line because this is like my home. You know? And I love the people here and I love how everybody treats me and that's why I never have and I never will do anything wrong.

MJ: No I understand that Nick.. and again.. that charge.. what you've been charged with is not a major crime. When it comes down to it.. you're probably not going to even have to go to court. Your lawyer is going to plead this out for you. It's not going to leave an unsightly blemish on your record. When it comes down to it, it's really not a bad charge. Sure, you wish it wouldn't have happened in the first place.. now in the future, is there something you might do differently? If a cop asks you to leave somewhere, what are you going to do next time?

Nick: Yes I will.. (laughs). I'll leave.

MJ: There you go. Well Nick have a beautiful flight.

Nick: Ok. Well you guys take care of yourself and I'll see you at the AMAs

MJ: Ok Nick.. repeat after me Nick.. I

Nick: I..

MJ: will..

Nick (stuttering): will.. wait wait wait. What are you gonna make me say?

(Froggy laughs)

MJ: Well just repeat after me. You already said I will..write..

Nick: write..

MJ: Froggy..

Nick: Fro.. oh wait a minute.. hold on.. No.. (He laughs)

(Froggy laughs)

MJ: A 25 thousand dollar check to save his job

Nick: Can't get any.. (He laughs)

MJ: Alright Nick. We'll talk to you later buddy.

Nick: Hey look.. we'll do that basketball game sometime.

MJ: Alright buddy.. take it easy. We'll see you on the American Music Awards Wednesday night on ABC.. is that correct?

Froggy: Yes it is.

Nick: Yeah

MJ: Alright buddy. Have a good trip.

Nick: Take care..

MJ: Bye bye
