article 1: 2gether + movie + laughs = TV spinoff
"Due to the overwhelming popularity of MTV's very own boy band spoof 2gether, a spin-off of the movie is currently in the works. Now that producers have been given the green light by everyone's favorite music network, eight episodes of the show have already been ordered. In better news, each of the members of 2gether have already signed on to reprise their roles as the up-and-coming boy band of the millenium. If 2gether the series creates half the laugh the movie did, it will mean BSB and 'N Sync better watch out - there's a new boy band in town and they're apparently here to stay!
MTV will also boast a few new series beginning this summer like Road Home, a biographical program which follows performers to their hometown, Hell House, a soap opera set in a haunted boarding house near a university campus, and Video Feuds, a live program which has viewers' favorite music videos battling out."

"With the legion of boy bands currently storming the music world, it's no surprise that MTV had to spoof this pop phenomenon with the creation of 2gether - a boy band with a comical twist. Evan Farmer, Alex Solowitz, Michael Cuccione, Noah Bastian, and Kevin Farley are the five actors who adopt "boy band" stereotyped personalities for the 2-hour long made-for-MTV movie and actually perform their own songs! Even producer Viet Renn, of BSB and 'N Sync fame, lent a hand to this tongue-in cheek offering. Tracks include the unforgettable, "U + Me = Us (Calculus)" and "Say It (Don't Spray It)," which were featured in the movie. The soundtrack, like the movie and accompanying videos, is all good fun and must-have for any pop music fan - or who just wants a good laugh."
