subject: NO WAY! I got a scholarship?!

Just as I was complaining what an "unlucky" person I am the other day, I think my luck is beginning to change! :) Tonight, my school held it's annual Senior Service Awards Banquet, and I was fortunate enough to be presented with the most prestigious scholarship award - the Silver Titan Scholarship, which awards annually to a senior who has attantined a high over-all grade point average, and who has particularly excelled in the fields of English and Social Studies with a $2,500 scholarship!

I cannot begin to tell you how shocked I was! In fact, I wasn't even planning to go to the banquet tonight until my friend Emily persuaded me to do so. Am I glad I went, or otherwise, it would be SO embarrassing to be a no-show. Personally, I still don't think I am worthy enough to deserve this scholarship. There are so many people applied for this one, mainly because this gives the most money, and everyone of them is just as smart, if not more so, than I am. I swear I almost gonna faint when they announced my name because I have NEVER expected to win anything. To be honest, the only reason I went is for the free dinner and hang with Emily. This is so unreal! Oh my, the $2,500 is gonna help so much, consider it costs about $40,000 a year to attend USC. The most touching part for me was seeing my history teacher, who doesn't really talk to his students outside of class, smiled and told me how pleased he was to see me getting this scholarship. I cannot express just how thankful and grateful I feel right now. I really do appreciate this, very much.

Enough about me. Have you ever watched "Casablanca?" It's one of those movies that I have always wanted to see, but never will see on my own time, mainly because it's in black and white. Well, I watched it today in my history class for the study of cinema, and I cannot tell you how great it is! I just love dramatic love story. No wonder it is one of the best movies ever made. And "Gone with the wind" too, I swear I'm gonna watch that this summer.
