subject: christmas gig - the wrap up

"Where did the time go?" That is the question I often ask myself. Friday was the last day of my 45+ (for those of you that actually keep track of it, we added more shows to the original schedule) Christmas performances. Wow, this whole process has being amazing and I know I'll miss every bit of it.

The closing week, however, turned out to be the most stressful week I had. Not only did I have performances every night, I was burned out by this whole pile of homework and tests. Thursday night for instance, I got only 2 hours of sleep since I had a test to take on Friday and a radio show early that morning. Wonder how many brain cells I killed that week alone?! Glad that's all over...finally, a week which I can actually get some decent sleep.

Don't know why, I am not feeling very "christmasy" this year. In fact, I am even too lazy to get out my plastic Christmas tree. (where is it anyway?!) As I was doing some Christmas shopping today for the first time, I felt a certain sadness, knowing I have been so caught up with school, performances, college prep., the site, and everything else that I haven't really taken the time to enjoy this holiday season. Hopefully next year's is gonna be a better one...
