"Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say,but nothing comes out when they-"
Brooke threw the remote and the stupid radio.Not only did it wake her up,but it woke her up with a song that annoyed her.
Brian was up already.He was sitting in a chair,putting his shoes on.He looked up when she threw the remote.
"Bad night,sweetie?"He asked,pulling the covers back over her and making her lay down again.
She nodded sleepily."What time is it?"She asked.
"7:15.I'm going to buy you an outfit,ok?Then when I get back,we can go shopping together for other stuff you need.I didn't think you would want to go out in my clothes",he laughed.
Brooke just nodded again."Ok"she said,closing her eyes.Brian gave her a kiss on the cheek and left the house,leaving the doors locked.
About an hour later,Brian showed up again,this time he had handfuls of bags.He threw them onto the bed,where Brooke wa reading a newspaper. "Here you go,madame.Hope they fit."He said.
Brooke looked up and smiled at him."Thanks,Brian,"she said,then going into the bathroom to try them on.
She dug into the first bag and pulled out the cutest little skirt she ever saw.It was white,with two little pockets on the side,a tie in the front and shorts underneath.Then she dug into another bag.There was a little dark blue halter top shirt.It went really good with the skirt.Then in the last bag,there were platform shoes.They were cute,too.
Brooke had to admit it.Brian was the only guy she ever seen with good taste like that.
She put the clothes and stuff on and slowly opened the bathroom door.Brian had his back to her,because he was putting a cd on the cd player.When he heard someone behind him,he turned around.He whistled.
"Dang girl,you look hot"He said,eyeing her.
Brooke blushed and hung her head.Brian walked over to her and lifted her chin."You,baby,are beautiful.And you shouldn't be shy about that".
She smiled at him and looked deep into his eyes.
"Thank you",she whispered into his ear.
Brian got tingles when she did that.He smiled then frowned.He couldn't like Brooke like that.He wouldn't like Brooke like that.She has been through too much.Brian was just there to protect her.
Brooke then gave Brian a small hug and pulled arm length away from him.She had tears in her eyes. "Brian.You are the greatest.No one has ever been so good to me.How can I re-pay you?"
He smiled a sad smile."Just be you,"he said,"That's it.You are wonderful.I don't see how anyone could hurt you the way Steve did."
Brooke just smiled at Brian then sat down on the bed.
Brian's cell phone rang.He picked it up.He said,"Hello?Uh-huh.Ok.Yea,alright.See you there.Later" He hung up then looked at Brooke.
The guys are getting on their plane now.We have to go meet them at the airport in about an hour or so.Do you want to go to the mall or something while we wait?"He said.
"Sure"Brooke said.
They walked out of the house and got into Brian's Expedition.Then they drove away.
A few minutes later they were stopped at a red light.Parked in front of them was a black Eclipse Spyder.Brooke pointed to it."That is the cutest car,"she said,"I want one!I like the white ones better though"she said,basically thinking out loud.
Brian looked at her and smiled and nodded.
"What?"Brooke asked,suspicously.
"Nothing.Uh,can you even drive?"He asked.
"Yea,I can drive.I have my driver I.D."She replied.
Brian just nodded again and they drove on.
The pulled into the mall parking lot and got out.
As soon as they got inside,Brooke seen a familiar face among the crowd.
"Dana!"Brooke yelled,running towards a girl.The girl turned around and yelled,"Brookie!" They hugged when they reached each other.
They started chatting away.Brian walked up beside Brooke.
"Oh,Brian.This is Dana.She lived next door to me all my life and we have been best friends until she went away to college for two years,"Brooke introduced them.
Dana had short jet black hair,pale skin and light eyes.Brian shook her hand."Nice to meet you"they said.
Just then a couple of older looking guys kept staring at Brooke,like they wanted her.Without thinking,she linked her arm through Brian's,so they would leave her alone.
"Where's Bianca?"Brooke asked Dana."Bianca is Dana's identical twin sister"She told Brian.
"Oh,she is with her sexy fiance.His name is Alberto and he is from England.He has the really sexy accent",Dana said.The girls giggled together.
"Where's Steve?"Dana asked,all of a sudden.
"We broke up"was all Brooke said.She didn't feel like going into details.
Dana nodded."So you and Brian are going out?" Brooke shook her head quickly."Nooooo,uh uh.We are just....friends" Brooke answered.
"Oh,well you are hanging all over him like a rat on cheese" Dana said.Brooke dropped Brian's arm and stepped about five feet away from him and blushed.
Brooke looked at what Dana was wearing.She always wore cute clothes,but today there was something different.It was not the overalls,she always wore them.Her tummy was sticking out a little ways.
But that couldn't be right.Dana was always as skinny as a bean pole.Then it hit Brooke.Dana was pregnant!
"Dana!Are you pregnant?"Brooke questioned.
Dana just nodded casually."Yea."
"Who's the father?"Brooke asked.
"Steve".Brooke couldn't be hearing right.
"Steve McGreyson?"Brooke asked.
Dana nodded.Brooke all of a sudden got extrememly light headed.She stumbled a couple of steps backward.For a minute she thought she would faint.Brian quickly ran behind her and put his hand on her back to keep her from falling.
"Steve?"Brooke whispered.Dana nodded."That's what I said."
"You little slut,"Brooke said,raising her voice."How could you do that to me?"Brooke stepped forward.Brian put his arm around her and tried to turn her around."Come on,sweetie.Let's go,"he said.
Brooke pulled away."No,Brian,"she said,taking his arm from around her and stepping even closer to Dana.They were now practically touching noses.
"Yea,"Dana continued,"Steve never loved you.He always told me that.He just wanted to sleep with you"
Brooke tried to hold back her tears that were determined to fall.It hurt so bad to find out that the two people you loved so much never really loved you back.Brooke sniffed.
Dana stuck out her lower lip."Awww,is the poor baby going to cry?Boo hoo hoo"she said.
Brooke raised her hand back and slapped Dana clean across the right side of her face,then she ran away.
Dana went to run after her,but Brian grabbed her arm."I don't think so," he said,"you are not going to touch that girl."
Dana struggled to get out of Brian's grip,but she didn't succeed."Let me go!"She practically yelled.
Brian finally let her go and Dana smiled widely. Then she gestured over to the girls bathroom.Brooke was sitting on a bench by it and non other than Steve was standing behind her.
Brian tried to run over to her,but Dana grabbed his shirt tightly.When Brian yelled,"Brooke!",Brooke looked up,but it was too late.Steve scooped Brooke up into his arms and took off.
