Aol Chat With S Club 7

AOLiveMC13: Let's all welcome S Club 7.

Jon: Hi to everybody.

AOLiveMC13: We're glad to have you with us. Here we go with the first question.

Question: With all the current uprise in teen pop sensations, what separates you from groups like *NSYNC or 98 Degrees? Thanx, Colleen.

Jon: We are boys and girls -- there are not many bands around with both sexes.

Question: Hey, I was wondering if you guys write your own scripts for “S club 7 in Miami”?

Jon: No, we don't, we have a team of writers who do that.

Question: How did you guys get started, and did you have any rough times?

S Club 7: We got through a casting, that's how we all met. And when we got together at first, it was a bit rough, but it has cooled down a bit since.

Question: Jon, who is your inspiration, and why?

Jon: Probably my parents, the way they live their life and just the way they brought me and my brothers up.

Question: What is your favourite song on your tape?

Jo: On the new album, it's gotta be "Change the World."

Jon: Probably “S Club Party.”

Question: How did you come up with the name S Club 7?

Jon: Through our management and record company. The club is actually a club on the Internet, and the seven is for seven members.

Question: How long does it usually take to rehearse? Jo: We usually do the choreography in a day, and spend 5-6 hours on a song. It's about 2-3 weeks on the TV scripts.

Question: Hi, S club 7. I think your show on Fox Family is really cool, and I was just wondering when the next season is going to be on, and what is the new season of S club 7 going to be like? From Megan in West Virginia.

Jon: I'm not sure when it will be here, but it goes out in England in April. The new series is still on music, having adventures and troubles.

Question: I have two questions. #1: Do you guys go on AOL or have any Internet at all? #2: So what do you guys think of America so far? Do you enjoy it or do you just hate it? What are some of the differences between America and England?

Jo: Differences... the roads are bigger, everything is bigger!

Jon: I'm usually too busy, so wouldn't know how to get on the Internet.

Jo: Me either.

Question: Who's the oldest and youngest member of S Club 7?

Jon: I'm the youngest.

Jo: Tina is the oldest.

Question: Hi, do you guys like singing, acting or dancing more? Thanks -- your fan, Madeline!

Jon: The singing.

Jo: The singing here, too, but it varies.

Question: Are American fans different from England fans? If so, how? Thanx, sweetazzcandy16.

Jon: We don't have as many American fans, so they are a bit quieter. The fans here have all been very polite.

Paul: VERY polite, VERY sweet!

Question: What are y’all’s favourite places in America?

Paul: New York is my favourite. I don't care for Miami, particularly. But like New York and LA.

Jon: New York, as well, but I like LA and San Francisco, too.

Paul: San Francisco is beautiful!

Question: What made you want to start your own TV show?

Paul: We were a band first, the music comes first. To do a TV show, it's the same voice. If you have the opportunity, we'd be crazy to turn it down.

Question: How did you feel when you found out that you had won a Brit award?

Jon: We were overwhelmed. We all fell over in a big pile.

Question: Hi, my name is Jen, and I was wondering, do you guys already have an album out? And if you don't, when do you think it will come out?

Jon: The album comes out on the 27th of March, and the single is out now.

Question: Hey, guys! I can't wait ‘til your album comes out! When it does, will you be touring in the States? Mary, NY.

Jon: We are planning to do a tour, but I'm not sure when it will come to the States.

Paul: There is a strong demand, but we do the TV and music first. We don't have enough time to tour -- we work around the clock as it is. Maybe around the end of the year.

Question: Do you guys have scripts, or does what happens just happen?

Jon: We have scripts, people who work with us. Although sometimes what happens, happens. But only sometimes.

Paul: We do come up with little bits ourselves to make it more appealing, hopefully.

Question: Do you miss your family and friends in England? And do you visit England very much since you came to the US?

Jon: We miss our families very much. We are not home much anymore. We've been away about two months now.

Paul: It will feel weird when we get back, we've been here for so long.

Question: Are you really going to do a movie at the end of this year?

Jon: We hope for that to happen, we plan for it. Whether it does or not....

Paul: The intention is strong, if we can fit it in.

Question: Hey, S Club! What's up? Well, anyway, I was just wondering if you have any pets, and what animal is your favourite. I love you guys! You are the best! And I love your show on Fox Family Channel! You guys rule and have the best talents. Best wishes to all of you.

Paul and Jon: Big hugs and kisses for that one!

Jon: I have a dog called Molly.

Paul: I don't have a pet now... not anymore. I would like one, but travelling too much to create a good home for one, really.

Question: S Club, what is the hardest part of taping the show?

Jon: The hours and the time it takes. It's a long tape.

Paul: Yes, long hours. The performing isn't difficult when it's a normal one, but this one is okay, except for the hours, which make it hard.

Question: What is the best and worst part of being in a group of seven?

Jon: The best is there is always someone there for you. The worst part is getting time on your own.

Paul: Completely agree.

Question: How do you all manage a TV show and being a big music group?

Jon: I don't know.

Paul: I don't know how we do it. I'm waiting for someone to tell us how we have managed, so far.

Question: I think you guys have a lot of great talent. I wanted to know if you planned on becoming a pop group, or did you just plan on having the show? -- Sheena

Jon: We already had albums and singles, so were a band first.

Paul: We are a band, it's just that in America, people know us from the TV, not for our music.

AOLiveMC13: We have time for one final question, and it is:

Question: Hi, I would like to let you know that you guys are so awesome! I love the show and your music! You bring a positive message to teens! I was wondering, who were your influences? Love ya, Martha.

Paul: People like Martin Luther King, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Curtis Mayfield. Oh, and Robert DeNiro.

Jon: Motown sounds.

AOLiveMC13: S Club 7, our thanks for being here to answer questions from your fans. Any final words for our audience?

Jon: Thanks to everybody!

Paul: We'll be seeing you soon... keep your eyes and ears open to all that is coming out -- there is going to be a lot more. Thanks again.

AOLiveMC13: The best of luck to you in your fabulous career! And thanks to all of you S Club 7 fans for joining us and sending in the wonderful questions. Good night, everybody.
