The Girls Are Interviewed By Maxim Magazine

There are four girls and three guys in the band-would S Club 7 happen to stand for Sex club?

Hannah: That’s the beauty of it. The S can stand for anything you want it to, so who knows…

As we suspected. So why ain’t there "no party like an S Club party"- what exactly goes on at your parties ?

Rachel: Honestly, you don’t want to know!

Hannah: There like any other top party- great people, great music. We work so hard we have to make up for lost time when were relaxing.

Tina: Yeah. You’ve got to be up for a good time if you’re doing this for a living, so when we get together things can get pretty raucous.

So which one of the lads would you be partial to a bit of S Club action with ?

Rachel: There’s no way we could- they’re great guys but it would be like getting off with your brother.

Tina: The papers have tried to make out that we’re all dating each other. They keep pairing me off with Jon even though he’s five years younger than me. They’ve even said that I’m going out with Simon Fuller, our manager! Its all rubbish.

Hannah: I’m supposed to have gone through all of the boys! But I’m not bothered – they can write what they like.

Have you seen any money from your success yet? Or are you claiming poverty ?

Jo: We’re still fairly new so obviously we’re not loaded, but I recently bought a Gucci watch so things can’t be that bad.

Tina: We’ve seen a bit of money so we’re all quite comfortable financially, but my only extravagance to date has been a wide-screen TV.

You spend a lot of time in the States. How do American men differ from English blokes?

Tina: American men aren’t afraid to tell you their life story. There definitely more open than English guys. I can also imagine them doing the whole moisturising routine. A bit of concern about the way you look is ok, but when they start hogging the mirror that’s a big turn off.

Hannah: American men are very cheesy- huge grins and gleaming white teeth. That didn’t stop me from getting a few numbers though.

Can you remember your first kiss?

Jo: Yes, when I was seven in the playground with this boy called Nathan. It was horrific. He forced his tongue into my mouth and I spent the rest of playtime gargling in the drinking fountain.

Rachel: My first kiss was in a cupboard when I was 11. We’d been playing spin the bottle but the boy turned out to be a dreadful kisser.
