Chapter 15

Haylie woke up wanting to pull the covers back over her head again. Just thinking about drifting off back to sleep for another hour or two made her more drowsy. She forced herself to pull the covers up and lazily walked in her bathroom, brushed her teeth and hopped in the shower hoping it would wake her up. After she showered and dressed she went downstairs and was welcomed by the comforting smell of her mother's breakfast and coffee,"Are you going to eat some breakfast today, hun?" She looked up from her newspaper ready to get up and make Haylie's breakfast. "Actually mom,I just need some coffee today. I couild really use the caffine." "Why's that Haylie?" She sighed pouring her coffee,"Well,we have a pre-trig test, exams, and I have to spend my lunch time studing with Brandon.." "Aww,poor sweetheart! Why are you studying with Brandon?" "Well,he keeps pestering me to forgive him and stuff,so anyways I'm just sorta gonna pretend I'm his friend and all so he'll just back off or something." "Hmm,well if he keeps bothering you let me know alright?" Her mother's caring ways nurtured Haylie but at the same time the overprotectivness annoyed her,"I will mom."She grumbled sipping the last of her coffee and looking at her watch,"Oh man,it's 7:50,I'm gonna be late. Bye mom!" * All three periods dragged by. And Haylie anxiously waited lunch so she could get this Brandon thing finished once and for all. She threw her Jansport backpack over her shoulders and started walking towards the flagpole where her and Brandon planned to meet. But instead of seeing just Brandon she seen him with someone she never wanted to face again. "Damn you Brandon, how could he hang out with Kyle?" She mumbled. Relizing it wasn't too late she hid behind a brick wall where there were studying tables filled with kids cramming informatin into their heads. She spyed again to see Brandon was now alone and Kyle was no where in sight. She slowly walked over to him,"Hey Brandon, ready to hit the books?" "Yep. As ready as ever, let's go to Del Taco and hang there." *At the Del Taco (Auther's Note:*lol* hey DEL TACO was the only place in mind at the time,k? That and TACO BELL,jeez what is it with me and tacos?) "Okay so was that one right or wrong?" He asked nervously. "Right,I'm suprised,it seems like you've studied alot, did you?" "As a matter of face I did.." Haylie broke the silence that was about to form,"Brandon,I didn't know that you were friends with Kyle.." "Oh,yeah,we ah,hang out a little. I heard you guys went out,I'm sorry it ended." I sighed,"I'm not. He was a jerk. No offense." "Well,I'm not him so none taken." She smiled nervously, closing her book,"We didn't even study alot Haylie." "Yeah well,I have a feeling I'll be spending more time doing that at home tonight,I can't really concentrate now anyways." "Ahh,okay,so you wanna go to an arcade for awhile or something?" She pursed her lips together in thought,"Nah,we better head back to school. I'm one of those nerds who never wanna be late ya know?" "Your not a nerd Hay! But I know what you mean, maybe some other time.." She picked up her books and walked out slowly,"Yeah, some other time." She mumbled. * "So did you ask her out yet?" "Well,I tried to but she keeps pushing me away!" "Listen to me,you better have her in a night club, drunk by a week! I want to pay that bitch for dumping me.Who does she think she is? See,if she gets caught by her little sweetie drunk we'll make him think she's a drunk loser, got it?!" "Yeah I got it,but what about me? Do I get paid or what?" "Yeah yeah you'll get paid, what do you want? Drugs?" "No. I want her." Main Page
