It was dark and very cold in the barn. It smelled like rotten and wet wood and something else..'what is that smell?' Brian thought to himself. He quickly stopped walking when he heard a noise from behind. "Kevin is that you?" Brian called out. "Creak, creak" IT kept getting louder and louder. "CrEaK CREAK" "KEVIN?" Brian shouted as he walked closer to the sound. 'Kevin where are you?' Brian gasped and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw something in the corner of the barn. It appeared to be swinging back and forth. 'The old tire swing' Bri thought to himself. Brian's heart beat faster and faster as he approached the swinging object. He made his way over to the barn doors and quickly opened them. When he turned around he let out a blood curdling scream......
He focused his eyes on the swinging object.....When his eyes focused he saw Kevin hung by his neck on the rope where the old tire swing used to be. "OH MY GOD KEVIN!!!" Brian screamed. He dialed Ashley's cellphone number.
Ashley: "Hello?"
Brian: "A-Ashley p-please help m-me!"
Ashley: "what's wrong Brian?"
Brian:" K-Kevin's dead!!"
Ashley: "WHAT! What....are you sure it's him?"
Brian: "Yes very sure....he is hanging in the alleyway of the barn door!"
Ashley: "He was hung?"
Brian: "Yes and I don't know how and or why?!"
Ashley: "I'll be down there as soon as I can"
Brian: "Ash...be careful I think there is something very fishy going on around here."
Ashley: "Ok Brian I will be careful."
(Line goes dead)
Ashley looked over at Howie and AJ. "What's wrong ash?" Howie asked. Ashley looked at him.."Nothing i just need to get out of here for a while I値l be back though." She quickly got up and drove back to the house.
(At the house)
When she arrived at the house she ran up to her room and locked her door. She dialed Brian's cellphone number.
Brian: "Ash?"
Ashley: "Yea it's me..listen I値l be over there where you are in five minutes..just let me get something i need."
Brian: What is it?"
Ashley: "It's a gun Brian...I値l need it if something is going on."
Brian: "Ok ash hurry I知 scared"
Ashley: "So am I Brian.. so am I"
Ashley quickly hung up the phone, grabbed her hand gun out of her drawer and got in her car to leave.
(At the barn)
Ashley jumped out of her car and ran towards the barn. When she got there she was greeted by Brian痴 hug. "Brian it's gonna be all right." She noticed he was shaking. "Come here ash let me show you something." He took her hand and led her to where Kevin was hanging. She screamed and took a step back. "Ashley there is no way in hell that my cousin would kill himself..he has no reason to."
Ashley looked at Brian.."You are right..and I think there is a good explanation for all this." Ashley pulled out her knife, she jumped up on a hay bail and cut the rope, Kevin's body fell lifelessly to the ground. Ashley felt sick to her stomach but brushed it aside. "Brian there is something i didn't tell you guys..I'm a police officer i work for the NYPD but i came down here for leave cuz i couldn't take all the crimes in New York." Ashley showed Brian her badge.
(Three hours later)
The medics took Kevin痴 body away. "No autopsy boys..I want his body preserved..but check for fingerprints." Ashley said. "Come on Brian I値l drive you home..one of the other deputies will drive yours back to the house. As Brian and Ashley walked back to the car they didn't notice to shadows in the bushes.......
(At the police station)
"Brian i think i have a good idea who might have killed Kevin." Ashley said looking at Brian through tear stained eyes. "You know those two girls you met at the club?" Brian nodded his head. "Well my opinion is that they got so jealous that they went into a fit of anger."
"Wait a minute..that does make sense." Brian said smiling weakly at Ash. "They got so jealous they are seeking revenge on us and.....our friends."
"Brian...i don't think that car wreck that Nick and Howie were in was an accident.." Ashley said.
Ashley and Brian looked at each other unable to speak. Finally Ashley spoke..."We have to find Amanda and Leighanne before they do anymore damage...."
