Mandy Moore Sets Up New Video Shoot by: Kara Manning

After helping MTV ring in 2000, Mandy Moore will get right back to work, shooting the video for her follow-up to "Candy."

On January 10, Moore will start work on a clip for "Walk Me Home," the second single from her hit debut "So Real."

Before that, Moore will join Jessica Simpson, Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguilera, Puff Daddy, Blink-182, and a host of others as MTV rings in the new year live on Friday, December 31.

The new video and Y2K shindig are just the latest giant steps on what has been a quick trip to success for the 15-year-old singer who, despite her youth, has a pretty mature head on her shoulders when it comes to dealing with the business side of her music.

"I really look up to people like Madonna, who is a true chameleon in the business, always reinventing herself," Moore told MTV News. "I would have to say, my sound right now is pop with a twist because it's got some R&B, some dance. It's not just pure pop, and I think maybe on the next album I'm going to flip it a little and go for maybe a more rock edge, kind of like a Natalie Imbruglia type of thing. I look up to people like that, like Madonna who can totally reinvent herself, her style. She's such a trendsetter."

You'll be able to catch Moore's current incarnation on New Year's Eve, and also as part of MTV's "Snowed In" winter programming early next year. Meanwhile, be sure to check out the MTV.com Music Feature, "Mandy Moore: O-Town Girl".
