Chapter 26
*At Kevin's*
Kevin woke up, hearing music coming from the first floor. It was Tuesday morning and they were on vacation until the next Sunday. He looked at what time it was and realized that he didn't have slept that much since he had break up with Kristin. He was hiding all this sadness inside of him all day but at night, when he was alone, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He wasn't sure if he had done the right thing. For so long he had thought that they were mean to be together... they were getting along so well. The image of Kristin appeared in his head and he sighed loudly putting his arms behing his head. He knew she had hurt him but... he was missing her even though! They had lived so much things together. Then he thought of Brian and everything that had happened to him. "Poor guy!" he thought. He was mad at Nick for this because he knew that Nick knew how Brian would feel about this. He decided that he would go see his cousin today. He didn't had time to go see him and he was feeling guilty about it. He knew he had to be there for his cousin. At least, he had talked to him on the phone but he knew that Brian probably wanted to have someone with him. That's how he felt when Kristin and him broke up. And he had been lucky to have Stacey with him. Then he got the idea of bringing Stacey with him at Brian's today. Maybe she would be able to make him happier or just be able to let him forget about all the shit... like she had done with him. He stood up and got dressed fastly with a dark blue t-shirt and beige pants. He went down and found Stacey singing and dancing while she was making breakfast. He stood there watching her, with a huge grin on his face. She screamed when she turned around and saw him.
"Damnit! I knew someone would see me!" she giggled, blushing.
"Ah it was kinda funny!" he said laughing.
"Yeah yeah I know!" she replied. "But I want to be singer so...I gotto express myselft!"
"You'd really like to be singer?" Kevin asked laughing.
"Of course not!" she answered. "I was kidding! Singers are too crazy for me... " she added with a grin.
"Well.. maybe they are but they're also really nice to let someone they don't even know, live in their house for a while!"
"Hey you know me!"
"Who said I was talking about you???" Kevin asked grinning.
"Alright alright... but I am really thankful to you and ...that's why I cooked you breakfast!" she replied proud of herself. "It's the first time I get up before you
so... enjoy it!"
"Oh thanks a lot!!" he said sitting at the table. "I just hope you don't want to poison me to get all my money..."
"What?!?" she asked surprised.
"I'm jocking! You wouldn't do that..."
"Of course not! I would invite Brian, Aj, Howie and Nick too so I could get all your money!" she laughed giving him a plate full of good things to eat.
"Okay then I'll know it when you'll invite us all! Mmm! Well, it's smell really good!"
"Thank you!" she said sitting in front of him. "But I will invite you when I'll get my appartement! I'm going to look for one pretty soon! I didn't have much time last week because I wanted to make some tourism..."
"Oh so you'll stay in Florida?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah! I really like it here! And there is Leighanne...and you guys that I know... and I think I'll probably work with you for a while so... you're all living here...why wouldn't I?" she said.
"That's right! So when would you like to go check out some appartement?"
"I don't know but as soon as possible because I'd like to have a place to stay when we'll come back from those two weeks in Europe!"
"Yeah... I understand...but you know, if you don't find anything...you can come back here! You're not a problem!" he said eating.
"Thanks a lot! It's really nice from you but I think it's time for me to get my own appartement anyway!"
"Alright! Would you like it if I'd go with you visit some of them??" Kevin asked.
"It'd be fantastic! But only if you'll have free time!" she said smiling.
"What about today? I have nothing planned... "
"Really????" she exclaimed all smile. "Thank you sooooo much!! You're the best friend someone can have!" she added giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"No problem!" he replied laughing. "But after we'll go eat with Brian alright?"
"Yeah sure!!! I'm sure he don't want to be alone!" she said thinking about how Brian is probably feeling. Kevin had told him what happened because he had know choice. Everyone now knew about it and they were all very surprised. They were most angry with Nick.
"That's what I thought too..."
"Alright! I'll go get ready then!!!" she shouted leaving him alone at the table.
After passing the afternoon visiting and looking out some appartement in the neiborhood, Stacey and Kevin arrived at Brian's house. As they walked to the door, they were both preparing themself to see Brian doing no jocking and not smiling. But they got a surprise when he greeted them with a big smile...looking kinda happy.
"Hey you guys!!" he said.
"Hey Brian!" Stacey smiled.
"Hey Rok!" Kevin replied looking at him strangely.
"Come in!"
"So... how are ya?" Kevin asked.
"I'm fine!" he answered, still smiling. "Hey Stacey, wanna see Tyke?"
"Yeah!!!!!!!!!" she shouted happily. Brian laughed at her and they all walked to the back door because the dog was in the backyard. Stacey walked to Tyke and threw him the little ball. Kevin and Brian sat on the balcony and talked.
"So tell me...how ya doing for real?" Kevin asked.
"Why is everyone asking me this question twice!?! I'm alright! I swear!" Brian said forcing a smile.
"You're strong... cause I would not feel right at this moment believe me... I would have kicked Nick's fat ass as soon as I would have known!" Kevin replied giggling.
"I prefer to not talk to him for a while... I think that's better that way..."
"Yeah it probably is... "
"Does everyone know now?" Brian asked.
"Yeah I think so.... " Kevin answered with a sorry look. "And everyone have to know... it's not something you can hide! Anyway, I can't see how you could hide this... if you're not talking to both of them next week... "
"I know! Like this I won't tell the story a thousand time for everyone..." Brian said looking straight in front of him. "And how are ya doing man?"
"I'm fine! I'm getting through it..." Kevin smiled.
"I'm happy for ya!"
"AAAHH Help!!!!!!!!" Stacey screamed while she laughed. The two cousins looked at her and bursted out laughing. Tyke was pulling her pants with his little teeth but she couldn't push him away because he was holding her tight."Don't laugh at me!! I'm attack by a freak dog!" she yelled.
"Wait! I'll help you out!" Brian laughed as he ran to her. "I'm Superman and I'll deliver you from this psycho chihuahua!!!" he added with a low voice. When Tyke realized that his daddy was there, he let go Stacey and jumped all around Brian. He took him in his arms. "Hey Bad boy!!! I already told you to not attack women!" he grinned.
"Thank you SuperBrian!" Stacey told him, still laughing. "I don't know why he freaked out like this... I was playing with him!"
"Don't worry...he doesn't bite!"
"Yeah but he's pretty strong for a little dog like this!" she exclaimed as they both walked on the balcony and joined Kevin.
"He's like his master!!!" Brian replied with his Superman's voice.
"Yeah whatever..." Kevin giggled rolling his eyes.
"Hey I'm hungry... why don't we go eat in town??" Brian asked.
"That's a good idea!" Stacey and Kevin said at the same time.
"Alright let's go!"
The three of them went to a small restaurant downtown. They talked and laughed all the dinner. Brian was jocking most of time and didn't look like he was sad. But Kevin knew his cousin. He was hiding his sadness behind his jocking and his forced smiles. Everyone was used to Brian's happiness but there was something different now. He was smiling and laughing but his eyes were full of loneliness. Kevin started to worry about it. How long this would last?
She was driving nervously to Brian's House knowing that he would probably be angry at her to come over to his palce but she was feeling that she needed to tell him that she was sorry for everyhing that happened.
She parked her car in the drive way and went out of the blue porch. She walked to his door and knocked 3 time but he never answered the door.
Leighanne turns way back to go back to her car when she arrived face to face with Amber who was starring at her.
"Don't get me wrong Amber... I just came to see If he needed something!" Leighanne explained.
"I said something?" Amber asked walking to the door.
"He...He's not home!" Leighanne told her.
"How do you know that?!"Amber asked not knowing that Leighanne knew about
whats happened between her and Nick
"I just knock on the door about 3 time and nobody answered so I guess he is not home!!" replied Leighanne
"Well maybe it's just because he don't wanna see you ya know.."
"Well I don't know If he don't wanna see me but I don't think that he wanna see you either..."Leigh started
Amber turned to face her and stopped her
"Why would he don't wanna see me!! I'm his girlfriend!!that's idiot!!"Amber said trying to avoid Leigh and to hide her feelings...She knew that Leighanne was right.
"Amber you should give him time.."
"What?!?!"Amber asked now angry.
"Amber I know about you and ...Nick" Leigh said not too sure if she should talk about it.
"There's no me and Nick ok?!?!"
"Hey I didn't meant to upset you ..."
"Who told you?!?!He told you?!?!"Amber asked furious and pointing the door.
"No He didn't.. Its just happend like this..Listen Amber I cant' judge you and It's not what I'm gonna do..."
"WHO TOLD YOU FOR ME AND NICK???"Amber yelled
"It's not important how I learned that Amber.. I just know that's it. Now it's too late
to blame anyone !" Leighanne said trying to calm down Amber
"It's not important?!?!Gosh... It's already hard enough for me to deal with it! Now if everybody knows...". Amber sat on the stairs of the balcony, desparate of what she've done.
"It's hard but you'll get trough it.."Leighanne told her, seating next to her and feeling sorry.
"Ho yeah and tell me miss perfect how do you know that I'll get trough this?!"Amber asked with arrogance.
"I did... I know you can do it too"
"What?!?!Are you trying to tell me that...?!" Amber asked surprised.
"That I did the same thing?!?!"Leigh asked...Amber made yes with her head. "Yes I did"
"With Nick?!?!?!"Amber shouted.
"No ... Not with Nick" she said with a shy giggle.."Nick his like My little brother... I like him very very much and I wouldn't sleep with my brother"
"Wait a minute wait a minute..there is something that I don't understand..." Amber exlaimed.
"What?!?!"
"Brian told me that... YOU broke up... "Amber said
"Yes I did!!But it doesn't mean that I didn't love him!"Leighanne replied knowing that Amber was completly lost
"Then If you were in love with him why did you break up?!?! you cheated on him..you broke up but you were in ove with him?!"
"Yes I was in love with him very deeply...I loved him with every part of my soul and I broke up... yes I did!" Leighanne explained.
"Why??!?!Because he was upset?!How did he find out about you cheating on him?!?!"
"I told him... I just couldn't handle the fact that I was lying to him"
"I just can't see why you broke up ...He asked you to.??" Amber asked confused.
"No no... you know, he wanted to forget about the whole shit and work things out but I ended our relation!"confirmed Leighanne
"Why? you were in love with the other guy?!?!"
"No.. not at all.. I was in love with Brian"
"Then Why you broke up?!" Amber asked again really mixed up.
"Because I knew that everytime he would look at me, he would imagine me with that other guy and he would never trust me like he used to... in brief, he would have been hurt If I would have stayed with him!"
"But don't you think he was hurt when you broke up?!"
"Of He was ..and so was I... the pain was hard at first but I get through it and he found another woman..He found you... And I was really happy when he told me that he was over me..because of you... you made his life happy again! I'm thankful to you for this!"
"But Now I did the same thing and he sure think that all the girl are like this...He hate me" Amber said starting to cry.
"Give him time I'm sure you'll work things out!!"
"Can I ask you somethings?!"Amber demanded
"Sure!"
"Do you still love him?!?!"
"I will always love him... but I will never try to get him back...cuz I know that he loves you.. not me..he's over me!! Now he loves you!!"
"You know what?!"
"Humm no!!"Leighanne Laugh
"I know why he fell for you.. and I know why all the guys loves you...it's so easy to talk to you!"
"Thank you!!"Leigh sigh smilling...but she was still feeling sorry for Amber.
"Hey well I have something to fix up so I better get going..."Amber said standing up and walking to Carly's car
"Amber?!?!" Leigh said after her.
"yeah?!?!"
"Promise me that you'll give a try with Brian?!"
"I'll try!!!" she answered before she sat in the car, turned in on and left.
