*The next morning, at the airport*
"Hey Kaos what are you doing here?!?!you're not late??" Carly laughed coming in the VIP section while Howie was talking with the management outside the section.
"Looks like that..." he said sadly
"You're loosing your touch man!!" she exclaimed trying to make him laugh. He was the only one arrived.
"Not just that.." he sighed
"Hey you'll be ok?!?!" she demanded worrying for him
"Yeah yeah..." he replied
"If you need something you'll tell me??"
"Listen I'm old enough to take good care of myself ok??" he said almost angry
"I know, I know... it's just you don't seems like...someone who had eat and sleep a lot.." she said not wanting to tell him that he was almost green.
"Carly it's really sweet from you but I already have a mother thanks!" he said going back to his book.
"Alright alright!!"she said sitting on the other chair.
"Wasssssssuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppp!!!!"Ashley screamed entering on the room.
"Louder Ash... louder!" Nick told her holding his head that was hurting.
"Awwww my little Nicky!!" she said walking and sitting on him giving him a kiss on the cheek...Ashley and Nick had been friends since they were in diaper..their parents were best friends since college.
"So how is my little babay doing?!?!"
"Ash..would you please..." he asked...he hated this question so much since the last week.
"What??"
Carly gave her a look that tell 'You know what happend Brian and Amber would be there in a few and Brian doesn't want to have anything do to with him'
"Hooo sorry...poor baby!!"Ash exclamed hugging him.
"it's ok just..leave me please!"
"You know I love you don't you baby??"she asked
"Yes I know Ash !!I love you too!!"he said sarcastically. She gave him a quick friendly kiss on the lips and left him to go talk with Carly.
"Where's amber?!?! She's not with ya??!" Ashley asked
"Yes she's at the gate... she needed to be alone for some minutes ya know.." Carly told her.
"Yeah I can understand..."Ashley said looking at Nick so sorry for what had happened. "What is she gonna do ???shes gonna try work things out with Bri?!?!" Ashley whispered.
"Well...she wants but Bri doesn't look like he wants it this way!! she went to his place the other day and he turned her back so...we'll see how it's gonna be on the tour !! I'm not sure if she'll stay on this tour with us... she's pretty upset with all this..." Carly said sadly.
"That's too bad she was really cool!!"Ashley said
"Yeah !!She's still!" Calry laughed a little. "Everybody make mistake!"
"Yeah!!I just hate to see him like that... he used to be like my bro ya know..we grew up together!"
"Hey guys!" Howie said comin in. "There you are!!"
"I told you I was here!" Carly laughed
"I know!! Hey Nick!!" Howie said not knowing what he had to do.
"Hey!" Nick replied not looking at him.
"poor guy" Howie tought "So wheres the others?!?" he asked
"Don't have a clue!"Kevin said comin in the room with Stacey.
"Hey dude Wassup!?" Howie asked giving Kev theire friendly hug.
"Nothing much and ya?"
"Same!!"
"...Hey Nick!" Kevin said..he was upset with Nick but knew that it's wasn't all his fault.
"Hey Kev!" Nick said with a little smile. Kevin smiled back and sat with the others who were chatting. Ashley and Carly were all excited to go to Europe. Amber entered in the room and smiled shyly to them. She sat at the opposite side of the room, not wanting to be near Nick. He shot her a angry look and went back to his book. The others already felt a big tension between them.
"God...imagine when Brian will be there.." Ashley whispered. Right at this moment, Brian entered in the room.
"Hey Guys!!!!!!" he said happily, sitting next to Stacey.
"Hey Brian!" they said looking at him surprised of his happiness. Brian saw Nick staring over his book and he shot him a `don't-talk-to-me` look. Nick went back to his reading. Actually, he wasn't able to read. Too much thoughs were running through his head and he couldn't believe Brian was so happy. He knew his friend and he knew that was hiding something.
"Germany, here we come!!!!!!" Aj shouted entering in the room, followed by Becky and Naomie who were laughing hysterically because of a joke Naomie had told during their way to the airport.
"What is so funny?" Brian asked. Becky and Aj sat at the table with them and Becky told the joke as everyone bursted out laughing. Naomie walked to Nick.
"You're not laughing?" she asked sitting next to him.
"It's not funny..." he answered not even looking at her.
"What? Hey that's my joke! You have to laugh!"
"Alright sorry!" he said smiling.
"It's not what I expected but it's better than nothing!" she replied smiling too. "So, how is it going?"
"Well let's see..." he said putting his book down. "My bestfriend still doesn't want to talk to me... and it's killing me to tell Amber how much I hate her... everyone is asking how I am doing ... damn how would you feel?" he added.
"Umm... doesn't sound really great!" Naomie replied back.
"It is not...believe me..." he said sadly. He looked at Brian whom haven't stopped jocking with Becky. He wanted so much to join them. He missed his bestfriend so much, it was killing him inside. He was sorry and he didn't know what to do to get their friendship back. "I'm sorry... I'll go to the bathroom before we leave..." he said wanting to get away from them all.
"Alright..." Naomie replied getting up and walking to the table and joined the others. When Nick passed beside the table, he could feel everyone looking at him. He didn't like it at all and almost ran away.
Amber was still alone on a couch. She was looking straight in front of her and was thinking even more about leaving the tour as fast as possible. They weren't in the plane yet and it was already unbearable. She looked at Brian who was looking so happy. How could he look so happy? Did he totally forget about her? He wasn't paying attention to her at all. He haven't looked at her since he was there. "What the fuck is wrong with me?" she thought. "How could I do this to him?" . Of course there were no answer. She was thinking that she had totally ruined her life. She had ruined the love of her life, now she was going to ruined the best contract she ever had. Carly saw that she was about to cry and sat next to her, putting her arms around her shoulders.
"Will you be alright?"
"I don't know..." Amber replied holding back her tears. "Everyone hates me..."
"Of course not...why are you saying that?" Carly asked.
"Come on! Don't tell me you haven't noticed that no one is talking to me beside you and Howie... they all think I'm a bitch..." Amber replied. "I'm starting to think that I am.."
"Ah come on Amber! You did a mistake okay? It was a big shit but I'm sure they all understand that..." Carly told her.
"Yeah a big shit who's ruining my life right now! I can't wait to leave..."
"For Europe?" Carly asked not knowing if she was talking about their flyth or the tour.
"No...I will leave the tour... as soon as Fatima finds another dancer..." Amber said staring at Brian. She looked at the floor when Brian noticed she was looking at him.
"You will leave? For real?"
"Yeah..." Amber sighed. "And I can't wait to..."
"I understand...well we'll miss you... " Carly said hugging her.
"I'll miss you a lot too... " she replied fighting with tears.
"Don't comfort this bitch Carly...she doesn't deserve it..." Nick said as he walked in. Everyone stared at him, shocked by what he just said.
"Shut up man!" Kevin said when Amber bursted into tears. Carly rubbed her back and shot a look at Nick.
"Yeah like you deserve it more!!" Brian said with a sarcastically laugh. "At least she takes care of how her friends are feelings.." he added looking straight into Nick's eyes. Nick immediatly walked to the couch where he was sitting, took his loggages and walk out.
Everyone stood there, not talking, not believing that Nick said that. They all looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
"Hum..well I think it's time to go.." Aj said getting up and taking his loggages. They all followed him, except Carly and Ashley who stayed with Amber who was crying her heart out.
"I won't do it.." Amber cried as the two girls rubbed her back.
"Stop worrying Amber... forget about what he said... " Ashley told her. "He had no right to say this to you... "
"I'm sorry you have to live this too..." Amber replied.
"It's not all your fault... don't worry we understand!" Carly said. "Come on... they're boarding the plane...we have to go..."
"Yeah...sorry!" Amber said wipping the tears.
*In the plane*
It was a 7 hours flight so most of them had decided to rest. Nick, Brian and Amber were all far away from each other. No one was talking about what had happened just before they left USA. It was already enough tense and they didn't want more fight. But at a moment, Nick went to the little bathroom and when he came out of the cabin, he didn't know Brian was waiting right and hit him with the door.
"What's your problem???" Brian screamed.
"I'm sorry I didn't know you were there!" Nick said defending himself.
"Well you've already done enough you're not oblige to get things worse!" Brian said angrily.
"Hey I'm telling you I didn't know you were there.... it's not my fault!"
"Oh yeah ..it's never your fault ... I forgot!" Brian laughed.
"Shut up! I know you try to be the poor little victim into this... it's alright we've seen it... you can stop now!" Nick replied now angry.
"Yeah that's it... but I am the one my bestfriend and girlfriend cheated on so I don't see why I wouldn't be the victim into this!" Brian said pushing Nick.
"Ok guys stop it..." Kevin said not wanting them to fight.
"Yeah well I won't play the victim because I lost my bestfriend for a big mistake and everyone is blaming me for it! You can't imagine how much it makes me sick!" Nick replied pushing him back.
"Well YOU are making me sick!!" Brian shouted.
"Leave me alone..." Nick said pushing Brian so he could pass. His eyes were filled with tears. He gave Amber a it's-all-your-fault look before to sit down and put his headphone and poped up the volume of his Metallica cd. Kevin got up and sat beside him. Seeing that Nick wasn't reacting, he slapped him on the shoulder.
"What again???? Can't you just leave me alone???" Nick shouted.
"Calm down man...I just want to talk to you.." Kevin said.
"Yeah go ahead before I kill someone!"
"You know... if you want to work things out... be careful of what you're doing..." Kevin said softly.
"Do you really think I'm a idiot??? Damn, how was I suppose to know he was behind that fucking door????" Nick screamed angrily. "Do you really think I did it un purpose?"
"No...of course not but.."
"Then what is it?? I'm doing the best that I can to work things out but he doesn't listen to a word I'm saying!!!"
"Let him time..." Kevin said.
"Time..time..time... yeah I'm trying to but he always come up on my back!" Nick shouted. Everyone was hearing what he was saying because he was kinda talking really loud.
"Okay we've heard you Nick...you can shut up now!" Brian said.
"Enough you two!!!" Howie shouted.
"It's none of your business D!" Brian replied.
"Well we're all tired to hear you arguying!!"
"You'll have to live with it because mister doesn't want to work things out!" Nick yelled.
"Stop repliying to him and it'll be alright!!" Kevin said.
"Yeah Nick stop replying!" Howie nodded.
"Well he does it too!! Why do you all say it's my fault? He started it!!!" Nick shouted not believing they were all on his side.
"Come on, give him a break!!" Aj said. "Everyone can make mistake!"
"Yeah we all know were good in those kind of mistakes Bone!" Brian said sarcastically.
"Shut up!!" Aj screamed not believing what Brian had said.
"Ok ok guys!!! Stop it!" Kevin shouted with authority. "Don't get into this..."
Everyone went quiet and did their own things. Kevin, Aj and Howie were all angry at both Nick and Brian to get into this fight. Aj was especially angry at Brian for what he had said. He knew he wasn't the most faithful guy on earth but Brian had no right to say that.
"Come on baby! It's alright...don't let him get to you... " Becky told him, knowing he was angry.
"I just can't believe he said that! What is his problem?" Aj whispered glancing at Brian who was sitting on the other side of the alley, watching the movie.
"He's mad...that's all... "
"Yeah but he's not mad at me!" Aj said.
"Ah come on! Forget about it! Don't pay attention to him!" Becky smiled. She moved closer to him and gave him a long passionate kiss.
"Mmm...that makes me forget everything..." Aj grinned and kissed her back, holding her tight.
"Ah get a room!" Brian told them.
"I'm gonna kill him..." Aj whispered in Becky's ear.
"Ssshhh... " Becky laughed and kissed him again.
They finally landed in Germany, greeted by thousand fans waiting for them. They signed few cds and t-shirts as they walked to the 2 big bus in front of the airport. Becky, Aj, Nick, Naomie and Ashley went into the first one she knew Brian was going into the other one so she didn't know where to go. Carly smiled at her and told her to come with her and Howie in the bus, with Kevin, Stacey and Brian.
"But Brian will be there..." Amber sighed.
"Yeah but I'm sure you prefer to be with Brian than to have Nick insulting you all the way to the hotel..." Carly said.
"You're right...let's hope everything will go right.."
"Don't worry! I'll be there to defend you!" she replied laughing .
"Thank you!" Amber smiled back.
The hotel wasn't far so they didn't have a lot of time to be together. Amber was avoiding Brian, always trying to be away from him. She didn't like how he had talked to Nick earlier in the plane and she didn't want to get into a fight too. Anyway, she knew she wouldn't be able to fight with him because everytime she was looking at him, tears were stinging her eyes.
When they got into the hotel, they all went in seperate room. The boys had their own room, that they were sharing with their girlfriends so Howie and Carly were in the same room, as Becky and Aj. The other guys were alone and the dancers were sharing their room too. Ashley was with Amber and since Stacey was staying in the hotel too, she was sharing hers with Naomie. Nick went straightly to his room, not wanting to be with anyone at this moment. They were all getting on his nerve, trying to help him. But it wasn't a help at all. He layed on his bed and tried to forget about everything. Brian stayed in his room too, as Amber did too.
Since the three concerned into this story were resting in their room. Kevin took this time to talk to the others as they were all having some time off in the little bar downstair.
"Ok guys...I didn't like at all what happened earlier in the plane... we shouldn't enter in their fight like we did.."
"But it's so annoying!!" Aj shouted. "We can't let them fight like this...they will kill each other!"
"I know they are angry but they should fight away from us... we aren't suppose to get into their shit... we're not involved in this!" Howie replied. "So like Kevin said, when they start fighting, don't talk to them and ignore them..."
"And if we see they are going to kill each other...then we'll try to talk to them.." Kevin said.
"Yeah because... this afternoon was going to be a real Backstreet War ya know.." Becky said laughing. "I thought you were all gonna shoot Nick or Bri.."
"I was going to do it!" Aj said. "Damn...I know they are mad but they don't need to scream at us!"
"Yeah what Brian said wasn't really nice.." Howie nodded.
"Okay well let just forget about it... just don't get into their fight and I'm sure things will be better..." Becky said.
"Yeah but it's hard to not think about it...you're not sharing your room with Amber...she cries all the time...I don't know what to tell her..." Ashley said.
"Well she'll probably get through it someday..." Naomie replied. "Do you think Brian will forgive her?"
"I don't know but...it's not important now...she'll leave..." Carly said looking down. She was sad to loose Amber. They had been great friends since they were on tour with guys. From day one they had got along really great and she was hurt she had to leave because of something like this.
"Oh...." the guys said surprised.
"Well that's probably better that way..."
"But it makes me upset that she leaved for a shit like this! Why can't he just forgive them...everything would go right then!!" Carly shouted. Howie saw how sad she looked and put an arm around her shoulder.
"It's true..." Ashley agreed. "I mean... the first time we met...when we were practicing before to join you guys, she told me she was making her dream come true. To dance with you on tour was one of her biggest dream...and now she has to leave it..."
"Yeah but...she ran after it with what she've done..." Kevin said defending his cousin.
"But it's unfair to leave your biggest dream for a mistake!" Carly exclaimed.
"Ok ok... look we're still arguying about it... let's talk about something else..." Naomie said not wanting to see another fight.
"Well I think it'll be time for us to go sleep...we have a big day tomorrow..." Kevin replied getting up.
They all agreed and went to their room to sleep a little because they had a concert to do the next evening.
