An hour and a half had passed by since Nick had left the club. Everyone, especially Naomie, was wondering what he was doing and where he was.
"You're sure he said he was coming back in an hour?" Becky asked Naomie for the tenth time.
"Yes!" Naomie sighed.
"He went to talk to Brian?" Becky asked again for the tenth time.
"Yes Beck! He said he had to talk to Brian..."
"I hope they didn't kill each other!" Becky jocked but Naomie didn't laugh. "Come on Nam! Come and party with us! He'll be back soon!" she added, tired to see her friend sitting all alone at the table.
"I don't feel like partying!" Naomie said. She was playing with Nick's cell phone, waiting for him to come back.
"He'll come back soon! He forgot his cell phone! He have no choice but to come back here!" Becky shouted pulling Naomie's arm. "Dance with us!" she begged with puppy eyes.
"Nah...I'll wait for you here...
"Well...I'll stay with you then!" Becky said sitting in front of her.
"No...go! You want to dance...I don't... you don't need to stay with me!" Naomie replied.
"I stay with you and the minute Nick arrives, I tell him your feelings for him because I can't stand anymore seeing you like this!"
"Becky! Stop it!" she sighed.
"I'm not playing...I'll do it!" Becky said as Naomie sighed noisily.
"What are ya doing ladies?" Aj asked sitting next to Becky and putting an arm around her shoulder.
"Oh nothing..." Becky smiled before to kiss Aj. Naomie didn't look at then and look down at the little cell phone she was holding. She jumped when it started ringing. She stared at it like she didn't know what to do.
"What are you waiting for?" Aj asked. "Answer...it's probably Nick anyway! I don't know a lot of people calling at 1:30 in the morning!"
"You sure I can ?"
"Yeah go ahead!"
"Hello???" Naomie asked hoping it was Nick.
"Hi. I'm officer Jon Fellon. I'd like to speak to a relative of M. Nickolas Gene Carter." a male voice said.
"Oh well... " she started not really knowing what to do. "There are no one in here right now... but I'm a friend of him... is something wrong?" she asked starting to worried.
"Who is it??" Becky asked seeing her friend's look. Naomie didn't answer and listened to the officer.
"Well, we found this number in his wallet... is it your phone number Mrs...???"
"Naomie ... no it's his own phone number. He forgot his cell phone in here." she said.
"Okay... well I'm sorry I have to announce you this... but M.Carter got involve in a important car accident..." the man said seriously. Naomie started shaking and let go the cell phone, that fell on the table. Seeing how upset she was looking, Aj gripped the phone and Becky ran on the other side of the table and put her arm around Naomie's shoulders.
"Honey! What's wrong????" she asked as Naomie started crying.
"Hello??? Who is this???" Aj said unhappily.
"Hello? I'm officer Jon Fellon. Who am I talking to?"
"I'm Alexander James McLean... what's wrong?" Aj asked putting a hand on his other ear so he could hear better. The club was really noisy at this time.
"Are you one of M.Carter's friend or relative?" the officer asked.
"Yes...I'm a friend. What happened???" Aj exclaimed, his heart beating fast.
"As I told Mrs. , M. Nickolas Gene Carter has been involved in a important car accident earlier in the night." he repeated.
"What??? Is he alright?? What happened???" Aj asked nervous.
"I can't tell you if he is alright. The ambulance took him to Orlando Regional Medical Center as soon as they got there. He was unconscious."
"How everything happened??" Aj was now freaking out. Becky had not idea what had happened and she tried to figured out by looking at Aj but he was like lost in his mind, and Naomie wouldn't talk because she was too upset.
"M.Carter was driving too fast and missed a Stop sign... unfortunately, at this same moment a big van ran right into the driver side..."
"You're not serious?" Aj sighed.
"I'm sorry M.McLean."
"Damnit!" Aj said putting his hand on his forehead.
"You'll have a lot more information at the hospital. Can you tell me how I could join M.Carter's relatives?"
"Yeah sure!" Aj sighed before to give him Nick's parent phone number.
"Sorry again for bringin this bad news ..." the officer said.
"Well...thanks for telling us so soon!" Aj told him before to hang up. "Holy shit!"
"What's wrong??? What happened??" Becky shouted wondering what was making them so upset. Aj let out a big sigh and put his forehead on the table. "Aj!! What's wrong?" she asked again freaking out. Naomie was on a side of her, and didn't stop shaking and crying, while Aj wasn't even down on earth. "AJ!!" she screamed. The others guys noticed that something was wrong and they walked back at the table.
"Hey... what's going on?" Kevin asked, seeing that they were all looking so upset.
"I don't know!! I think something happened to Nick but Aj won't tell me what!!" Becky exclaimed and Naomie started crying even more.
"What? What happened to Nick??" Howie touching Aj's shoulder. Aj looked up. He looked so pale and sad.
"He got a car accident...." he said in a sigh.
Everyone stayed silent, like realizing what Aj just had said. Naomie started shaking even more, tears falling from her eyes. She was so upset she didn't hear what everyone was now saying. Nick had a car accident. That's all she could think about.
"He's....he's is alright???" Howie asked looking upset too.
"I don't know...they said I would have more information at the hospital..."
"He's ...he's not... " Kevin started.
"They found him uncouscious! I have no idea how he is!! The officer told me I'll have more information at the hospital..." Aj shouted.
"What are we waiting for then????" Becky asked standing up. Aj, Stacey, Kevin and Ashley stood up too.
"Listen, I'll join you guys in an hour or two. I have to stay to close the club!" Howie said remembering his responsabilities.
"I'll stay with you honey!" Carly told him, knowing he wouldn't like to stay alone. "You guys call us as soon as you get news alright???"
"Sure!" Becky replied. She then noticed that Noamie wasn't at the table anymore. "Damnit...Nam!!" she shouted running to the bathroom. She opened the door and found Naomie all curled up in the corner of the room, crying hysterically and shaking. "Nam...Nam... sshhhhh...." Becky said not really knowing what to do. She sat next to her and put a arm around her trying to confort her.
"Look what I did??? It's all my fault!!" Naomie cried.
"Naomie...it's not your fault! How can you say that??" Becky asked softly.
"He said that I opened his eyes...he wouldn't have left if I wouldn't have sing!" she cried.
"Nam! You sang because everyone asked you too! It's not your fault if the song touched him... you couldn't know!"
"He'll die and it'll be my fault!"
"Nam!!!! He won't die!!!!! What are you saying such a thing???"
"Because I only hurt people that I love... "
"Naomie .. that's not true... look were going to the hospital. Come with us!"
"I can't.... I can't see him injured or...however he is!" she started crying again.
"Nam..." Becky said really softly. "Come on... come with us... he needs you." she added rubbing her back. Naomie wiped the tears from her eyes and stared into space. "Come on..." she said again as Naomie followed her out.
"Are you alright?" Carly asked when the two girls came out.
"Um..yeah I guess.." Naomie said wiping her eyes.
"Aj is waiting for you in the car..." Carly said. "We'll join you a little later! I hope everything is alright!" she sighed.
"Yeah me too!" Becky said as they walked to the front door. "See ya later! We'll give you some news!"
"Alright! See ya girls" Carly replied. She walked back at Howie who was sitting at the bar, lost in his thoughts. She put her arms around his waist and layed her head on his shoulder.
"I hope he'll be alright..." he said sadly.
"He will... he's a strong guy..." she replied looking straight in front of her, not believing what was happening.
*In Aj's car*
Becky, Aj and Naomie were all quiet as they drove to the hospital. Rain had started falling and the night was dark. Naomie was sitting in the back, looking out the window and trying to hold back her tears. She couldn't believe they were driving to the hospital. She didn't want to see Nick hurt. Was he alive? Was he going to be alright?. She couldn't stop asking those questions to herself. She would never forgive her for what she did. She kept thinking it was her fault. She couldn't hold back her tears anymore and let them flow quietly on her cheeks.
"Brian..." she whispered thinking that Nick was going to see him.
"Shit! She's right! We have to tell Brian about it!" Becky exclaimed, hearing Naomie.
"Oh yeah!!" Aj replied. "We gotta call him!!!" he added taking his cell phone. His hand were shaking because he was so upset and he was driving really fast. He dialed Brian's number. "Damn!" he said when the phone was engaged. At this moment the car almost knocked into another one but Aj manoeuvred it and everything went okay.
"Damn Aj! Be careful! We don't need to have an accident too!" Becky shouted. Her heart had almost jumped out of her body.
"Sorry, sorry!" Aj said. "Try to join him.. " he gave her the phone. Becky tried to join Brian a couple of times all their way to the hospital but it was always engaged.
"With who could he be talking at this hour?" Becky wondered out loud.
"I don't know... anyway, we'll try later now... here we are!" he replied parking in front of the hospital.
Ashley was waiting for them at the front door.
"How is he doing?" Aj asked.
"We don't know. They won't let us see him right now. We'll have to wait. We didn't see the doctor yet..." Ashley answered as they all followed her to the waiting room. A nurse had reconized them and told them they had a private room if they wanted to be alone. When they got in the room, Stacey and Kevin were holding each other tight.
"Hey guys!" Kevin said standing up. Stacey ran to Naomie and hold her tight as she cried on her shoulder.
"When will we have news?" Becky asked Kevin.
"The doctor will come and see us .. I don't know when!" he replied looking worried.
"Ok...We tried to join Brian ... but the phone is engaged... I wonder with who he is talking at 2:30 in the morning!" Aj said.
"That's weird." Kevin said. "What could he do at this time?"
"I think I know with who he could be talking...or be." Stacey said taking the phone.

DING DONG!
Brian woke up with a start, his heart beating fast. He looked around him and remembered he had fallen asleep on the couch. He tried to remember what had wake him up.
DING DONG!
His heart started beating even more fast. He had a strange feeling inside of him.
"Who can come at 4 in the morning?" he whined standing up. He walked to the door but looked at who it was by the little window. "Leighanne? What are you doing here?" he asked opening the door.
"Finally! Why aren't you answering the phone?" Leighanne exclaimed walking in.
"Well... no one called..." Brian said confused. "What's wrong?"
"What no one called? It'd been hours we tried to join you!!" Leighanne said on edge.
"What? Why? What's wrong?? Calm down!" Brian replied, a bad feeling inside of him.
"Oh my God!" she sighed tears in her eyes.
"What?? What's going on! Are you gonna tell me???" he asked.
"Stacey called me because the guys couldn't join you..." she said.
"So?? What's wrong??"
"It's Nick..." she finally told him.
"What Nick? What happened????" he asked getting nervous.
"He had car a accident..." she said starting to cry.
"W...Wh..What?" he whispered.
"I'm so sorry!" she cried taking him in her arms.
"Is...is he..alright?" he asked with difficulty. Tears were forming in his eyes and he couldn't believe what he just had heard.
"I don't really know... I'm sorry..." she said crying even more.
"Damnit!" Brian sighed starting to cry and hold her tight. He then fell on his knees and put his hands on his face. "I.. I... I was going to forgive him!! I was going to tell him I'm sorry!! That it was over!!" he cried hystericaly.
"Brian...Brian... he'll be okay..." she said not really convincing. She sat next to him and tried to calm him down.
"Where is he??" he suddently asked.
"He's at the Orlando Regional Medical Center..."
"I have to see him!" he said getting up and wiping the tears from his face.
"Brian maybe you should wait until he's feeling better...or wait until the morning..."
"No...I need to see him!" he said storming out of the house, followed by Leighanne.
