KRUSCIKI
(recipe by Aunt Carol)
ingredients
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 dozen egg yolks
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon sour cream or 2 tablespoons sweet
cream
1/4 cup rye whiskey
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 quarts oil
1 box confectionary sugar
directions
3 1/2" wide x 1" high
pull one end thru cut in center
Krusciki get a little
larger while baking. They bake quickly. A few seconds after they
rise to the
top of oil, turn.
Bake a few seconds longer and drain on paper towels.
DO NOT BROWN!
When cool, sprinkle with confectionary sugar and store in covered tin.
(Note: if oil gets
brown, change it!)
