Fried Walnuts






     Bring 3 quarts of water to a boil.  Add one pound shelled walnuts.  Boil 1-2 minutes.
     Drain.  Toss walnuts with 1/2 cup sugar.  Deep fry for 3-5 minutes. Do not overcook. Drain walnuts in
     colander.  Transfer to a large bowl and sprinkle generously with salt.  Toss and let cool.
