When I was done telling her the story, she had a tear in her eye, but she was laughing too.
"So, a big Hanson fan?" She asked, smiling a little.
"Yeah, they're the reason I'm still here." I said, and she kind of frowned.
"Your kidding me?"
"Nope. That's why it was the last straw. That's why I ran away."
"Well, you can live with me. My kids should be home around nine tonight, but they're not ehre often. But they get two whole months off. I'm so happy. I can't wait for you to meet them. So, what's your name?"
"Ashley, and you?"
"You can call me Diane." She said, and smiled.
I was hanging in my new room. I had ten bucks, and some clothes, and of course the CD player and CDs. The house was sort of big, three stories, four rooms, and the kitchen and living room were pretty big. So was my room. It was HUGE compared to my other room. Like a mansion in itself. I was lying on my bed. It had beautiful flowers on the comforter, and the walls were yellow.
"Since this is your room now, you can do WHATEVER you want with it. I'm going to give you money, about a hundred dollars to get whatever you need. CD player, paint, bed stuff. But wait untill the boys get home, they'll take you shopping." Diane said.
"You're kidding right?" I asked.
"Hey, your part of the family now!" Diane said, and left. I was so happy.
At about nine at night, there was a bunch of commotion. I was in my room, listening to 'This Time Around', Hanson's new CD. All of a sudden, Diane burst into the room.
"What you listein you?" she asked.
"My new Hanson CD. Whatcya want?"
"I want you to come meet the boys." she said, smiling. I put the CD player down and walked out the door. I was told to close my eyes, so I did. I was led into the living room, and all of a sudden it got quiet.
"Boys, this is Ashley, Ashley, these..." and she took her hand off my eyes.
"oh..... my.... god......" I whispered.
