LMNT Live at Macys Herald Square
NYC-August 19, 2001
LMNT performed at a free outdoor concert Sunday 8/19/01. I was actually excited they were there because I hadn't heard any of their music yet. Well, I was a little disappointed. They looked good, what I could see of them anyway, it was pretty crowded. But their music just wasn't too great. Individually they sound great but the three of them together cannot harmonize at all. They sang about three songs, all uptempo to midtempo. I don't know what happened to the fourth member but I think it would be smart for them to get another one to help with harmony. Three just have such deep, bass voices, none of them can really go high and it doesn't sound right. Anyway, I was thinking about what they could do if this group doesn't work out. So here's what think-
Mike Miller- I think he'd make a great solo artist and a model. I also could see him getting into acting. I definitely see him as the most talented of the three and I personally think he would most likely have more success on his own.
Bryan Chan-Bryan seems very Broadway to me. I think he do excellent in musicals or opera, I remember him singing on MTB and he just seemed a more theatrical singer.
Ikaika Kauhano-Ikaika needs to go back to Hawaii and become a doctor. Sorry, but I just don't like the guy. He has a great voice but I don't think his heart is 100% in it for the long haul.
