Spiritual Confrontation
Daniel 10; Eph. 6:10-18

Sermon Outline From The Morning Service - 18 June 2000

1. Christ is our ultimate resource when faced with confrontation (10:5-9)

a. Daniel is prepared by God for the revelation of the prophecy of Israel's future
b. Daniel is given a vision of the pre-incarnate Christ (5-9)

2. Angelic ministers are sent to assist us during the times of confrontation (10:10-19)

a. Gabriel is sent in answer to prayer (10-12)
b. Gabriel reveals the spiritual battle (13a)
c. Gabriel is assisted by Michael (13b)
d. Gabriel's presence required that strength be given to Daniel (14-19)

3. Spiritual confrontation will continue until our redemption is complete (10:20-21)

a. The battle with the representative "prince" of Persia continues.
b. The battle will continue for the "prince" of Greece shall come (20b)
c. The battle continues today both with nations and with individuals (Eph. 6:10-18)
