Becoming Sgt. Kahl: Lingering Memories of a WWII Infantryman

My grandpa wrote a book about his experience as a soldier in WWII. He is an amazing man and this book shows a lot of that from the experiences he endured and the strength he had to fight for our country. I have a lot of respect for anyone who has endured such hardships. This book is much better than the history book, it makes WWII history more real! The Webster dictionary defines hero as "A man admired for his achievements and noble qualities and one that shows great courage." This definition is undoubtedly found in this book and the defintition truly describes the author.

This is grandpa's first book signing at the Inwood Public Library. He also had one in Brookings, one at Zambros and one at Barnes and Noble; both in Sioux Falls.

This is a picture of a guy that grandpa wrote about in his book, myself and then my grandpa is on the right. This is an awesome picture that I got to have taken with two heroes!

This is a great picture of two people that I admire and look up to a lot. They have given me so much love and support throughout these years in my life. I hope to be like them someday. God has blessed me with amazing grandparents and a wonderful family that I love to pieces!
