This story is based on two novels by Stephen King. One is called "The Long Walk" the other is called "The Running Man". I've never met Stephen King, or talked to him on the phone, or meant to make my story at all like his. Mine is different, I've only based it on those two books. Sure some words are the same, but it's kind of like a continuation of "The Running Man". If you've ever read those books, you know what I mean.
This story is set many, many years from now, where high technology is abundent, but humans are as ruthless as ever. The story's main character is Brian, who decides to leave his wife behind and try to win at the Games. The Games are like game shows, but with a more deadly price. All of the other guys will be in here too, but Brian's still the main guy. They all live in dire poverty and the only chance they get to earn a buck is by playing the Game. Unfortunately for them, they learn too late that "In The Long Run" is not just a run for their money, but a run for their lives.
