We Chose a luxurious 2 BR apartment for our stay in Melbourne: Punt Hill: The Stanton.
It turned out to be far more than we ever needed. Since our photos didn't capture this place well at all, I've placed it's ad photo for you to see.

We chose Melbourne for it's access to the Great Ocean Road. And here we are on our tour!

(That sign back there says 'Great Ocean Road')

Meet our tour guide/bus driver. He's got to entertain us for the 12 hour ride along this scenic road. Here he is making us 'billy tea' the old fashioned way. Sprinkling the leaves over the heated water in the pail and swinging it over his shoulder with a trick of centrifugal force, it gets mixed! Without spilling if you do it right.

The word 'billy' in billy tea comes from the australian word 'billabong', which refers to a watering hole. Since that's where they get the water for the tea, you get billy tea.

The tea's ok, but don't try the vegemite! I've never tasted anything so vile!

It wasn't long before we found the ocean.

And it keeps getting prettier!"

And rockier....

But nothing prepared us for the stunning view of the 12 Apostles!
I only counted 8 of the rock formations, but perhaps some may have been lost under water over the ages. Click throught he slide show, there's a few of them!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a home on a cliff overlooking this scenery? They really perch on the edge!
