Bittersweet Surrender

oh you're so beautiful

"Karen?"

She could hear him calling her name, but she couldn't find him. He seemed so far away, but that voice was unmistakable.

"Karen, where are you?"

"I'M RIGHT HERE!!" she shouted loudly, trying to follow the sound of his voice. It was driving her insane because it seemed to be coming from every side of her. The light was so bright it almost blinded her.

"Karen, I can't find you."

She felt her heart breaking as tears rolled down her face. "I'm here, JC. I'm here!"

Suddenly, everything lifted away and there he stood, looking more amazing than ever. He always looked amazing in her dreams, but this time it was extra special. He was wearing all white and had the most amazing look in his eyes. She couldn't believe he'd come all this way just for her.

"JC, you're here."

He walked up to her slowly, taking her hands in his. She was already warm, but there was a sudden rush of warmness that filled her veins whenever he was around. She got that all too familiar tingly feeling as he traced her palm with his finger.

"I came, just as promised. You think I'd miss this?" he said, staring at her with his amazing crystal blue eyes.

Before she could speak, his finger made its way up to her lips to silence her. "No talking, just be in the moment."

Karen closed her eyes for the first time since she'd laid her eyes on him. It was hard, considering she could stare at him for hours on end and never once feel tired or guilty. He was the most beautiful creature she'd ever seen.

His finger traced her lips slowly, all of her senses being thrown into overdrive. His other hand wrapped itself around her waist, pulling her closer. She could smell his cologne and it was driving her absolutely crazy. Before she had a second to think, his lips met hers.

It was pure emotion from the start. Their lips danced around each others, searching for more depth. Finally, he leaned forward, deepening the kiss to a point where Karen felt herself holding onto him for dear life. When she thought it couldn't get any more intense, she felt him lowering her to the floor.

Their kissing went on for minutes, each one more magical than the last. He brought up emotions she didn't know existed in her. His lips slowly traveled away from hers down to her neck, where they lingered for a moment before going back up to her ear, nibbling and kissing so softly he was slowly but surely driving her insane. She couldn't get her arms tight enough around him, and he was having trouble containing himself, as well.

Before she knew what was happening, she felt him unbuttoning her shirt. He was going so slowly she was sure she'd be dead before he finished, so she moved his hands away to do it herself as he brought his lips back up to hers. When she was finished, she let the shirt dangle, reaching to unbutton his next. The first touch of their skin on each other was enough to send her into hyper speed.

JC kissed back down her neck, but this time he kept going, down to her collarbone and shoulder, stopping an inch short of her bra strap. Karen was ready to burst from the motion, grabbing his head and yanking him back up to her lips. She found herself moaning into him when their tongues touched for the first time.

Neither made a move to stop, and things were getting steamier by the minute. He ran his arm down the side of her leg, pulling up to wrap around his waist. When she knew she couldn't wait any longer, she reached down for the button on his pants, trying desperately to unbutton it. It seemed to be stuck and she couldn't get it loosened. Suddenly, he stopped and looked up at her.

"It's time," he said in his sexiest voice.

Karen sure as hell wasn't about to argue with him, but just as she got the button free, she heard alarms going off . . . and not the ones in her head.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep

Karen sat up quickly, hitting the alarm clock and falling back over into her warm bed. She was breathing quite heavily and probably sweating, but she was used to it. She always did when she had this dream.

"Dammit . . . and I was so close that time," she said, rolling over to hit the snooze button.

"Let's see if I can go back and finish what I started."
