“Nick?” asked Amanda, looking up at him with her right hand resting on his chest,“Yes,” said Nick, placing his hands on her hips and holding her close.
“Why did A.J. have that weird look on his face when I mentioned that you two would be seeing each other a little later?” asked Amanda, as her right hand roamed the upper part of his chest.
“Uhh, oh, you know A.J.; always forgetting the days’ schedule,” said Nick, hoping he sounded believable.
Amanda gave him a look and said, “Right,” as if not believing him. She went to go walk away, but realized that Nick wasn’t letting go of her hips. “Umm, Nick, can I go change?” asked Amanda, shaking her hips, trying to her free from Nick’s strong grip.
“Not without me, you cant,” said Nick. Amanda started to whine like a child and stopping her feet centimeters away from Nick’s feet. “Are you giving me an attitude?” said Nick, joking around with her.
“Maybe I am, maybe I’m not,” Amanda said in a snippy voice.
“Ohhh, that’s it, you’re going down,” said Nick, letting her out of his grip and chasing her up to their bedroom. When Amanda got in the room, she quickly shut the door on Nick’s face. Nick has his eyes closed when she shut the door because he sneezed so, he ran right into the door. “Oww, what the hell!” said Nick, bringing both hands to his head, shaking it from side to side.
“That’s what you get for being mean,” said Amanda, teasingly. Nick sat on the top step waiting for Amanda to come out. When she came out, she was wearing black capris with a white tank top and a sheer, pink, open shirt over it. Amanda rested her hands on Nick’s shoulders.
He stood up and said, “Here, baby, jump on my back. I’ll give you a piggy-back ride.” Amanda hopped on his back as he carried her downstairs and into the kitchen. He put her down in the counter and looked at the clock. “Oh shit! Baby, I have to get going before I’m late,” said Nick referring to seeing the breeder, which in Amanda’s mind was a meeting. He went upstairs to change first and then he kissed Amanda and grabbed the keys for his black Benz. He got in and drove to the breeder. He checked in at the desk and waited for the breeder to come out. 15 minutes later, the breeder still didn’t come out and there were several kids that had just walked it. They took one look at Nick and stopped dead in their Track.
The little girl who looked to be about the age of 5 screamed her lungs out as her 11 year old brother stood their with his jaw practically dangling on the floor and his eyes wide. “Oh my God, you’re Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys!” said the little girl in a high-pitched voice. Nick smiled at her as she approached him.
The mother put her hands on the little girl’s shoulders and said, “Honey, leave the man alone, he probably doesn’t want to be bothered,” said the mother in a sweet voice.
Nick head what she said and his head perked up. “No, ma’am. That’s all right, said Nick smiling at the two children. They looked so sweet and innocent, they wouldn’t hurt him. The little girl and the boy looked up at their mother as if to ask if they could go by Nick.
The mother smiled at Nick and looked back at he two children.” You can go by him just please don’t pester him,” said the mother with one hand on each of their shoulders. The kids slowly walked over to Nick and took a seat on either side of him.
The boy put his hand out and said, “Hi, my name is Alex.”
“Hello, Alex,” said Nick, shaking the boys’ hand. He looked over at the little girl and said, “What’s your name, sweetheart,” with a smile on his face.
The girl looked at him in shock that he was talking to her. “I’m…I’m…I’m Tricia,” stuttered the little girl with a shaky voice.
“What a pretty name, Tricia,” said Nick. Tricia smiled shyly at him. The mother came and sat down by her as the breeder walked out.
“Nick Carter,” called the Breeder, Mr. Snyder. Nick rode from his seat and walked in his office. He sat down on the black chair that was conveniently placed in front of Mr. Snyder’s desk. “Now, Mr. Carter, what kinds of dog are you looking for?” questioned the breeder, with a pen in his right hand.
“I’m looking for an Allegro Siberian Husky,” stated Nick.
“Okay, I can do that for you,” said Mr. Snyder.
“Do you know when I would have the dog by?” questioned Nick, hoping it would be soon.
“I would say you’d have the dog by the end of the month.”
“Okay. Should I sign the papers and pay now?” asked Nick, now sitting forward in his chair.
“If you would like to.”
“I’ll do it now just so I’ll get it out of the way.” The breeder nodded his head and handed him a clipboard with 5 sheets. Nick sat there and filled out all the forms. His eyes bugged out of his head when he came to the last page and it stated the price. “$1,000 for a puppy?!” said Nick in a voice above a his usual.
“Sir, it’s a pedigree dog,” Nick just nodded his head and signed his name. He handed the clipboard back to Mr. Snyder and stood up. He shook the breeder’s hand and walked out of the door. He went to the front desk and wrote out the check. He walked out of the office and got his keys out on his pocket.
By the time he got home, it was three o’clock. He walked in and didn’t hear any noises. He went into the kitchen and pressed the intercom button to find out which room Amanda was in. He called her name over the intercom and he got an answer from her saying that she was in the baby’s room. He heard Savvy laughing in the background. Nick walked up the stairs and into Savannah’s room. He saw Amanda on the floor holding Savvy above her.
