After they talked about everything, Mrs. Orlettie gave Nick and Amanda a lot of brochures to look at for the reception and other various things needed for their wedding. When Nick and Amanda go home, Nick stood by the entrance to the sitting room and signaled for her to come over. She went over to him and stood in front of him. While she stood she admired the ring he had gotten her. “Nick, where did you find such a beautiful ring?” questioned Amanda, looking down at her left hand.
“When you went out a few weeks ago, I got on the phone and designed it,” said Nick, answering her question.
She was so grateful to have a man like him. She knew that no one else was like him, no one. She was wondering where she ever did that was so great that made her deserve Nick. She just couldn’t figure it out, but it’s said that God works in mysterious ways; maybe this was one of them. Nick walked over to the couch as Amanda followed.
“Baby, come here and sit on my lap,” said Nick, putting his hands on hit legs.
Amanda did as she was told. Nick wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her neck. She got the chills down her spine; she loved the way Nick’s lips felt against her satin soft skin; the way he breathed onto her neck while kissing her. She loved everything about him. She knew right then and there she was the luckiest girl in the world and that would never change. No one could be luckier than she was, and the fans believed it too. Amanda leaned her head against Nick’s chest and closed her eyes savoring the moment. She turned her head so she could give Nick a kiss. He turned his head towards her and gave her another one of those million dollar kisses that only she could get.
Amanda soon fell asleep again. Nick gently lifted her up as not to wake her and brought her upstairs. He put her under the covers and got in next to her. He put his right arms around her waist and fell asleep to the sound of her breathing. They woke up the next morning to the pattering of rain on the roof. Amanda got out of bed and took a shower. She came out in her silver Adidas running pants and a white tank top with chunky white Adidas sneakers. When Nick came out of the shower he put on his really baggy blue jeans with a black tank and Nike sneakers. Amanda put her hair up in a ponytail and put on really shiny lip-gloss, the cherry kind; Nick’s favorite when he kisses her.
“Well, Nick what are we going to do? It’s pouring out and we have the day off,” said Amanda; getting the answer she was looking for. Nick suggested that they do some more planning for their wedding. They went to the florist and told them everything they wanted. Amanda even designed her bouquet. The total cost for the flowers for the church and her bouquet was $2,700, and that didn’t even include the flowers for the reception hall. She gave them about thirty of the best. They narrowed it down to five ad picked out the nest one, which also happened to be the most expensive. They called the place and the manager said they could go down tight then to look at it and see what they thought. If they didn’t like it than they would have to go with their second choice.
When they got there and they saw it, it was one of the most beautiful places Nick and Amanda had seen. It was perfect. It was $175 per person. The price for the reception not including the flowers or the band came to $61,259. They told them the date and everything was set. They went back to the florist and told them what they wanted for the reception hall. The total for the flower for the church, the reception, and the little bags of rose pedals came to $9,000. So for the total cost for the wedding was about $72,150.
After that, they went to an expensive jewelry store and designed each other’s rings. Amanda got Nick platinum ring with crosses going all around. Set in the crosses were tiny diamonds just to give it that sparkle effect. Nick got Amanda a platinum ring with .5 diamonds going around the whole band. They both put private inscriptions in each.
Nick put in Amanda’s…Baby, I love you with all my heart. I love you and only you.
In Nick’s Amanda out…Nick honey, you mean the world to me and you are my one true love.
Neither of them knew what the other wrote. They would have to wait until their wedding day. No one else would know what the rings said except for Nick and Amanda. It was something special only meant for the two of them to share. After they had the rings on order they went home.
