Amanda called her agent to ask her about Vera Wang. She said that she would get in touch with her and ask her about the dress. About two hours later Amanda’s agent called her back and said that Vera would be more than happy to design her dress. Amanda wrote down what she wanted her dress to look like and faced it to Vera. Vera said that she should have the sketch done within the next week or two.Than after her sketch was completed Amanda would have to meet with Vera to discuss material and the change she wanted to be made. But in the meantime, Amanda and Nick just took a little break because they had been doing so much stuff for the wedding in the past few days. There really was a lot more to do, but they had about eleven months to plan it all. Amanda had already called all of the brides’ maids and the flower girl. She also already called he guys for Nick. The next day they were going to the wedding store so they could tell them how they wanted their invitations. After a while of talking they went inside. Nick told Amanda that he wanted to call the limousine company to tell them the amount they were going to need. Amanda sat down next to him while he called.
“Hi, my name is Nick Carter and I’d like to order several limos for December 11, 2002…Yes…We’ll need 32 limos…Yes…St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral…Yes…All right, thank you.
“Wow, Nick, 32 limos? Why so many?” asked Amanda.
”Well, our families and friends are going to be brought to the reception hall in them because it’s kind of far from the Cathedral, so I got the limos that hold 11 people each,” Nick said, replying to her question.
Amanda thought it was reasonable. Now she thought with all of these limos, people are going to be wondering what’s going on. “Nick, I think we should have the cops there, because there are going to be so many limos and people are going to be wondering what’s going on and try to get in,” said Amanda, hoping Nick would agree. He did and he called the cops to ask if they could be there on their wedding day to make sure everything runs smoothly. The cops agreed. There were going to be 12 cops on watch. In order to get into the reception they made it so you had to have on a velvet white wristbands so no fans or other people could get in. They were being sent out with the invites when they went to design them the next day.
That night Amanda and Nick talked before soon falling asleep. In the morning they both got dressed and headed to the stores so they could tell them how they wanted the cards. They told them what they wanted and asked them to kindly put in white velvet wristbands. They said that the cards would be ready in 6 weeks due to the fact that they have so many people invited to the wedding. After that they went home and made a few phone calls to some people for the wedding. It turned out that they spent an hour on the phone. The people from the wedding store called them and told them the price for the invitations. It turned out to be $1,575. When Amanda and Nick were done on the phone they went out to order Champaign. They got 300 bottles, which came to be $1,100. Amanda and Nick were spending money left and right, but it never entered their minds. The cost for the limos was $200,000. It was amazing how fast money went. Now that everything for the guests’ transportation was set up, they could figure out what they wanted to do about the tuxedos and dresses. Nick already deiced that the men would be wearing top hats as they walked down the isle. Amanda told Nick that she wanted lilac dressed so that meant that Nicks groom’s men would have the wear lilac cummerbunds. Nick had no problem with that. He went on the computer and Amanda went on another computer so that they could try and find some styles that they liked. Amanda found three styles she liked by Vera Wang. The maids of honor’s dress was going to be a little different from the others. Her hairpiece would also be different.
