The brides’ maids would have baby's breath in their hair that would be up in curls and the maid of honor would have a tiara and her hair would also be up in curls. Nick saw the tuxedos that he liked and found the store where he and the rest of the guys would be able to do the fittings. Amanda did the same. Nick and Amanda were so tired after that day. The day was coming to an end so they just got ready for bed and watched TV for a while. Shortly after they turned on the TV, they fell asleep. The next day was also very gloomy. The weather said that there were going to be showers and storms all day. Amanda and Nick decided to give the planning a rest. They were about half way done. They got dressed and went into the billiards (pool) room to play. They played for about 45 minutes. Nick won two games and Amanda won one. Nick won the last game."Hey, that's not fair," complained Amanda.
"What's with you and the fair stuff? I'm not a fair guy," replied Nick.
"Huh! You can say that again," Amanda mumbled to herself, not meaning for Nick to hear.
"What did you just say, missy?" Nick asked, hearing what she had said.
"Umm? Nothing?" replied Amanda with a hint of questioning.
"Well, that's a pretty loud nothing. I know you said something," said Nick, knowing what she had said. Amanda finally repeated herself and Nick chased her around the house until he caught her. When he caught her he began to tickle her until her sides hurt. He then stopped and started to kiss her neck. He helped her off the floor and gave her a proper kiss.
The months went by very fast. Amanda's gown was made and cost a whopping $16,000. Everything was set. They had all the showers. They asked for only couples' showers so that they could be together. Amanda and Nick also had a new house built for them. The house was big enough to hold the title 'mansion.' The cost of it was 4.4 million. It was their dream house. They designed it and since they had a lot of money they could do things very fast. It didn't take too long for the house to be built. The furniture was already delivered and ready for them to move into when they come back from their honeymoon. They were going to the Caribbean. The total cost for the whole wedding including dresses, rings, tuxes, etc., was $1.3 million.
It was finally the day of their wedding. Both Amanda and Nick were very nervous. The music started to play and it was finally Amanda's turn to go down the isle.
When Nick saw Amanda he saw her in slow motion. His breath was taken away at the sight of her. Her make-up was professionally done, as was her hair. He thought she looked like the most perfect girl in the world, and to him…she was. When she got to the altar the Father said the traditional things. After the vows it was finally time for the rings. They said the vows for the rings and than the Father said the words Amanda and Nick had been longing to hear for the last 11 months. "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your Bride."
Amanda and Nick kissed in front of the 350 people witnessing the ceremony. Everyone clapped. There was now one less free Backstreet Boy for the fans to hope to marry. Amanda and Nick walked back down the isle and into the Rolls Royce. Everyone got into the limos and past the crowds of people who wanted to see what all the commotion was about.
When they arrived at the reception hall the DJ waited for everyone to come in and sit down until he made his announcement. The DJ took his mike and said, "I now present for the first time ever, Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter." Everyone clapped and cheered. Amanda and Nick's song began to play...Truly, Madly, Deeply. They actually had Savage Garden there to sing that one song. It was Nick's surprise for Amanda. Nick and Amanda slowly danced together as husband and wife. Amanda had fresh tears roll down her face as if she hadn't cried enough at the ceremony.
The reception lasted 5 1/2 hours. Everyone said that this had been the best wedding that they had ever been to. Nick and Amanda were pleased to hear that. When everyone one left and got the gifts, Nick and Amanda got into the Rolls Royce and went to the house that they had not yet lived in just to change. Then they got to the airport. They got there and Nick was asked if he could sign a few autographs, but because this was his wedding night, he kindly told them 'no.' He wasn't being mean it was just that this was his and Amanda's special day. On that day he wasn't Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, he was Nick Carter, Amanda's husband. Finally they called their flight. They were flying first class and waiting in Amanda's seat were a dozen red roses. Amanda thanked Nick by giving him a kiss. Some people were staring at them knowing who Nick was, but not knowing why 'that girl' was with him and why he was giving her those roses. The plane ride was an hour and a half. Amanda hated flying so she held onto Nick the whole time. They got all their baggage and went to the five-star hotel that they booked. It was big and beautiful. They got the honeymoon suite. They got all their things settled. They were very tired because it was one in the morning. They got undressed and made love as a married couple for the first time until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
