Howie drove full speed back to Orlando; they made it back in half the time it took to get Tampa. Linda cried most of the way back. Howie tried to comfort her the best he could. He was very angry; he hoped the law wouldn't hold him responsible for 4 murders. He pulled into his mother’s driveway. Linda was already out the car, Howie was right behind her. He opened the front door and walked past all the police to find his mother.
Linda walked into the room where her baby slept. She opened the baby's diaper bag and stuffed inside the baby's bottle was a note. "If you want your baby you know what to do," it read. Linda walked down the stairs and found Howie. "Let’s go." Linda said quietly.
"Where?" Howie asked, whispering so the police wouldn't hear.
"To get our baby." Linda said. Howie led her outside and she handed him the note. Without saying a word they were both in the car speeding toward their old house. Linda was driving 90 on surface streets. She pulled into the driveway and got out of the car without turning off the ignition. She walked up to the door put in her key in the lock and opened the door. Howie slammed the door behind them.
"Alex give me my baby!" Linda screamed at the top of her lungs.
Nick, Kevin, Alex and Brian were in the living room like nothing was going on. Brian was holding Amber. Linda walked over to Brian." Give me my baby…don't do this to your baby." Linda pleaded. "Brian, our baby deserves better than what you guys put me through." Her voice was shaking.
Brian eye's filled with tears and he began to hand the baby to Linda. Alex got up and stood between them. Linda kicked him in the nuts and this time she didn't run; instead she hit him in the head several times before he could recover. Nick pulled her off of Alex and she scratched him on the face. Howie reacted; he immediately went after Nick who then dropped Linda. Linda went after her baby and Brian gave her Amber. Linda silently thanked him. She then turned back to Alex who was still disabled due to the harsh blow to the nuts. She then turned to her husband who was going at it with Nick; Nick had the advantage.
Kevin wouldn't do any thing; he was just sitting there. "Help Him!" She screamed. No response. She then looked back over at Alex who was starting to get up. She walked back over to him held her baby tight and kicked him in the nuts again. He fell back over in pain. She looked back over at Howie, if someone didn't help him she would have to scrape him off the floor.
She looked for Brian and found that he was in the doorway with a baseball bat. "Oh God!" Linda thought. "He is going to kill us." She was frozen in her spot. She looked out the window; Kevin was driving away in his car. She looked back at Brian. He walked over to Howie and hit…Nick in the head with the baseball bat. Linda was shocked that Brian had helped them. Brian then helped Howie up. Linda walked over to her husband and her baby's father. She gave Amber to Howie and took the bat from Brian. She stalked toward Alex; she was going to kill him. She hit Alex in the rib area and he passed out. She then raised the bat to hit him again only this time she was going for the head. Someone grabbed the bat from behind her; it was Howie. "Let's go home," he said.
