A few days later, Aaron came to us with a big smile on his face. "Why are you so happy?" I asked."Well, if you must know, it has to do with the talk I had with you and Nick."
"Aaron..."
"OK. OK. I made love to Jackie."
"What?" I gasped.
"I made love to Jackie."
"When?" Nick asked, coming up behind with me.
"Last night."
"Explain to us how it happened." I asked.
Aaron lead us into the living room and told us. Once he was done, Nick spoke. "Did you force her into it?"
"No. I told her that I loved her and asked her if she was ready. She said she was. It was wonderful."
"Did you use protection?" I asked.
"Yes."
"Nick, you've taught him well." I laughed.
"I assume you love Jackie?" Nick asked.
"Yes, I do. She's my angel."
"Young love comes early for one Carter clan member." I joked. Nick shot me a look.
"Well, I better get going. Jackie is probably wondering where I am."
"OK. See ya buddy. Thanks for stopping by." Nick said.
"No problem. See ya, bro."
Aaron left our house and we watched him drive off, Nick's arms around my growing belly. I smiled to myself as I felt Nick caress my stomach. I slipped my hands over his and looked up at him. He looked down at me and kissed my lips softly. "I can't wait until this baby comes into this world. I'm gonna be the happiest man alive that day."
I smiled, at peace with myself. Nothing could bring me down now. Nothing.
