Shawn has quite a list of notable performances that he's participated in after he met his new found fame. However, prior to the performance at the Anugerah Muzik 2000 not many knew about him. For crying out loud, he's even participated in a popular talent show on TV and no on's recognised him so far. Anyway, here's a list of accolades he's received as well as events which he has headlined.
Shawn used to do the club scene with his siblings singing to get the extra income. Embarassingly enough, he admitted to me that at that time, he was doing rock (!) tunes including those by Bon Jovi. His performances included at The Ship in Damansara. These are among the many events in his past which he kinda feels embarassed to tell, but reflects that his success was not over night as some might think.

Ready for this? So far he's won the 1999 RTM Merdekarama for Best Performance, received a Grade Distinction for the 1997 Voice Recital, as well as the coveted Best New Artiste Award at the Anugerah Industri Muzik 2000.
He's performed as a guest artiste at the Westlife mini concert at Sunway Lagoon, and was also wooing those beauties at the Miss Malaysia International 1999/2000 (Mandarin Intercontinental) as well as participated in the Peter Stuyvesant Mega Concert 1999 at Stadium Merdeka. |
