Step One is the 19th best Album of the Millennium according to
the Millennium Music awards and HMV. That is quite an achievement
- they were the only pop act of their kind in the top 20.
This has 14 tracks, 2 more than Step One! Here is
the track listing and what Steps have to say about the songs:
Tragedy - Faye: This was our first ever UK No.1 and is
still a huge audience favourite...
After The Love Has Gone - H: We shot a video with an
Eastern feel because the music created Oriental images in
our minds...
Love's Got A Hold On My Heart - Lisa: In Summer 1999 we
headed to Cannes to film the video for this song...
Say You'll Be Mine - Lee: This is a real favourite for
all of us because we all take it in turns to sing...
I Think It's Love - Claire: I sing this moody ballad - it
reminds me of my childhood idols the Carpenters...
Make It Easy On Me - Faye: Lisa sings this gentle soul
song. Sit back and enjoy the laid-back groove...
Deeper Shade Of Blue - H: This is my fave cos I really
enjoy singing it. It's a disco stomper...
Movin On - Lisa: This is one of our favourite Bananarama
songs. Don't mess with us!..
Never Say Never Again - Lee: I love this song!
When I Said Goodbye - Claire: Time to take the mood down
slow again. We're really proud of this boy/girl ballad.
I Surrender - Faye: We love '70s funk and disco music.
Watch us boogie to this one...
Since You Took Your Love Away - H: Faye really captured
the feelings of this emotional song - go girl!
My Best Friend's Girl - Lisa: Who wants to be H's
girlfriend? Join the queue! Is the story in this song
true then? Of course not!
You're Everything Thst Matters To Me - Lee: This is Steps
at our most dramatic. We all love being in love and we
must admit, we are softies at heart.

The name for this album is unique. It is, for the
first time in Steps' history, named after one of the album
tracks. It is also the first album not to contain the word
"Step". The name "Buzz" was under speculation
when it was first announced by Claire and H on BBC tv. It was
later thought to have been a joke and to cause some media hype.
Release date: 30th October 2000. Despite only peaking at number
4, this album was certified double platinum within 6 weeks of
release, and certified platinum in the first week on sale.
