1) He wasn't man enough
this is an excellent opening track and an excellent first single, it proves that Toni is as good on up-tempo tracks than on slow songs and it also proves that Rodney Jerkins is one of the best producers of the moment!
2)The Heat
the perfect summer single, really original and sexy (especially the "Anybody want some ice cream?" bit!)
3)Spanish Guitar
this one is sure to be a hit, i can't deny it's one of my least favorite track cause in my opinion it's too commercial and i'm gettin' fed up of Diane Warren's songs, but Toni's vocals are so good in it and the melody is really beautiful!!!!
4)Just be a man about it
it seems like for many people this track is a boring but i thought it was excellent! even if i was kinda disappointed that Dr Dré was just talkin' on it and not rappin'.I love the lyrics and as always, Toni's voice is perfect and expresses perfectly melancholy and wearyness.
5)gimme some
this one is my least favorite track on the album, but still it's really good, it sounds like an old-school up-tempo track to me, it's not sophisticated like today's R'n'B tracks!
6)i'm still breathing
same as "spanish guitar", good vocals and lovely melody, but not R'n'B enough for me.
7)fairy tale
this one is my second favorite song, it is so lovely and that's the song i was thinking about when i said that Toni's vocals were more "delicate", i mean her voice just gives me chills on that one!!it's also the proof that Babyface is still able to write beautiful songs!
8)the art of love
it's the most original song on the album and i really like the way toni plays with her voice on it!this tracks makes me wanna make love!! :o)
9)speaking in tongues
it's the most sexy song on the album, not as sexy as "you're makin' me high" though!as good as it is the melody is not really catchy.
10)maybe
this one is so great!i can't stop listening to it!the way Miss (Mrs?) Braxton sings expresses perfectly anxiety (?) and hesitation.
11)you've been wrong
this one is a good track but it has nothing really particular except the fact that it's a real family reunion!!
12)never just for a ring
here we go!this is my favorite Toni Braxton song ever.Her voice is perfect, each word she sings expresses pain,and Towanda and Trina's backing vocals are perfect too!
all i can say to Toni about this album is: "BRAVO!!!" :o)
