It had finally come the day of My Mom's 68th Birthday.
I had scheduled time off this week so I could be there to share her special day with her...
The week before at work had been a very stressful one, full of computer breakdowns, lots of rushing, bosses upset, etc. and the tensions mounted as I watched the days slowly go by.
This in part, led to me have blood pressure problems toward the end of that week and I was having trouble keeping it regulated.
I came on the internet on a Saturday afternoon with my blood pressure very high, sent out an email to my group and within 15 minutes my blood pressure had dropped back down to a safe area and I knew God had given me healing...
This year also marks 50 years of marriage for my mom and dad, had he lived. (He passed away in 1997 of Liver Cancer.)
Since that date was only a few weeks from her birthday, I ordered a dozen red roses for her and signed the card...."FROM THE BOTH OF US"
I knew how this would affect my Mom and How much she would appreciate it, but little did I know what the next 24 hours would hold for Her and Me.
I knew the flowers would be coming on my first day off on vacation and the anxiety in my heart was very high, which sometimes causes my blood pressure to go up.
The morning of my Mom's birthday, we both woke up feeling really jittery and bad and both had elevated blood pressures.....
As the morning wore on the Lord spoke to me and said, "KENNY...Go to your mom and sit by her, take her by the hand, and you both pray for each other..."
I have to give a big thanks to those on the internet in the past few years, to whom I have prayed for online, email and in chat rooms, because KENNY praying for someone, especially one on one..and outloud has always been something I was never able to do without crying to the point I couldn't speak.
Well, God was about to give both mom and me a very special blessing this day....
When I finally went over and sit down by mom, kissed her on the cheek and told her HAPPY BIRTHDAY and we sat there a minute and she said to me..."SON..give me your hand I want Us to Pray together."
At that point, I knew how real and wonderful this was going to be.
God had spoken to both of Us at almost the same time, telling Us both the same directions...
That was all it took...We had our own revival right there....on that couch..Mom prayed a prayer Up to Heaven and the Lord shot down like a rocket and the Holy Spirit was all over our Room....
Then...as she finished her prayer, suddenly I felt the surge of the Lord take me and I began to Pray just like I type here to each of you and the words and the tears and the presence of the Lord was so real......and this will be the most wonderful memory of a birthday that I will ever remember.
Every since dad has passed away, Mom and I just accidently lost some of our natural impulses to go up to each other and hug one another.
It seemed as though we had so many problems, that the hugs always got pushed aside.
But God had a new plan this day.
Finally we found ourselves being able to Join hands with my Mom and Pray together and bring Heaven down...
Later that night we both have good readings on Our blood pressure and although the Dozen Red Roses I sent mom this year are beautiful...The time of prayer we had today was the best part of the day...Praise the Lord!!!
I just wanted to share with you my special day with my very special mother...
