Hand in hand we walked together
One evening down the lane
Then I felt a drop or two
As it gently began to rain
I asked my sweetheart promptly
"Should we run for cover?"
She stopped right there and told me
"What's your hurry lover?"
I smiled at her and drew her close
As the Heaven's began to pour
I kissed her lightly once right then
She sweetly whispered "More"
I squeezed her tightly to me
While the clouds continued to weep
Her arms around my neck had told me
My kisses should be deep
My heart was filled with love for her
As my head began to wonder
Should we make sweet love right here
Amidst the lightning and the thunder?
To answer that good question
Is only for us to know
For some things in life are private
And not for public show
But of that night I'll say this
