Topic: Oh Aaron Album Review
Location: UK

Oh Aaron, when will your voice break? While few people over the age of 12 wouldn't think twice about spinning this disc (unless it was under the wheels of oncoming traffic), kiddies who love their bubbly pop will probably adore this musical adventure with all their heart.

The 13 bouncy tracks featured here, which occasionally sounding a little sickly and teeth-gnashingly all-American, veer from hip-hop (Not Too Young, Not Too Old), through rock (Get Up On Ya Feet) to out-and-out pop (Stride),with varying degrees of success.

Occasionally, usually when he isn't adopting his 'street-tuff' rap style, Aaron does hit the pop nail on the head. In fact, I Would, Let Up On Ya Feet, the happy guitar-strumming of Baby It's You and Hey You (the latter two which were tellingly produced by UK production team Rose & Foster) aren't bad pop tunes.

However, you're never far from a rap cut - the kind which make Bart Simpson sound like Busta Rhymes - and such bouncy little ditties as Cowgirl and The Kid In You, where Aaron dispenses ghetto fabulous lines like, "I do a little homework from my math class" and "I'm still giving love to my parents."

Among the three bonus tracks is another playground rap, Leave It Up To Me, from the soundtrack to the hit animated flick Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
