When BOP asked crush worthy cutie Aaron Carter what items he considered closest to his heart, what do you think he said? Could it be the gold and platinum records he's racked up in Europe and Asia? Or was it the plaque comemorating his record breaking 1997 single, "Crazy Little Party Girl," which made him the youngest artist ever to enter the European Top 10?
If you guessed these, think again, boppin' braniacs! For 12-year-old Aaron, who contributed the spunky single "Have Some Fun With The Funk" to the 1999 "Poke'mon: The First Movie" soundtrack, his most treasured things aren't big awards, but rather sweet, simple keep-sakes from the people he loves the most: friends, family, and fans! Among these is a ring from a close friend in his new home state of California, "I really don't take it off," the blond-haired boy wonder declares, adding, "It brings me good luck." Aaron also values a half dollar, and 17 antique pennies his dad, Robert, passed down to him from his own collection. "My dad had them from a long time ago," explains the admiring son, who keeps the coins at home because "I don't want to ruin them." Smart Guy! Also high on Aaron's best loved list is a charm he received from a European fan. The token of affection is engraved with three German words, although Aaron admits, "I have no clue what it says!" He did manage to learn that one of the words is German for "happiness"-which is probably how this fan felt about Aaron! But Aaron's all-time favorite gifts are those that big brother, Nick Carter, 20, brings home after touring with the Backstreet Boys. "the best one was a toy panther. It's bigger then me and it nearly didn't fit on the plane!" an animated Aaron has admitted.
