Aaron Carter To Take His 'Party' On The Road
For most 13-year-olds, summer is a chance to run around and enjoy the break from school. But for teen pop star Aaron Carter, it will mean hitting the road on a 45-date U.S. tour, set to kick off June 15 in Phoenix and wrap Aug. 26 in Providence, R.I.
Carter, who happens to be the younger brother of the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, sees his Jive album "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)" rebound 15-4 on The Billboard 200 this week. The set has sold more than 1.6 million copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan. The second single from the album, "That's How I Beat Shaq," enters The Billboard Hot 100 at No. 96 this week. The title track peaked at No. 35 in September.
He will be supported on the trek by the A*Teens and another member of his musical family, sister Leslie Carter, a DreamWorks recording artist. Her single "Like Wow!" debuts a few slots behind her brother at No. 99 on the Hot 100 this week.
The A*Teens will be out in support of their MCA album "Teen Spirit," which peaked last month at No. 50 on The Billboard 200.
