Tom Cruise, Drew Barrymore, Susan Sarandon, Destiny's Child and Britney Spears are among the celebrities who received coveted Kids' Choice Blimp Awards at Nickelodeon's 14th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which was telecast live, Saturday, April 21 (8 p.m. ET/tape delay PT). The rafters of Barker Hangar in Santa Monica reverberated with the cheers of kids and their families who gathered there for the star-studded event, hosted by Rosie O'Donnell for the fifth consecutive year. The telecast will be viewed in 110 million households on Nickelodeon's international channels in the U.K., Australia and Latin America, as well as live in the U.S. Over 15 million kids participated in the voting at Burger King_ restaurants, on Nickelodeon Online (www.nick.com), through balloting in Nick Magazine or by calling a toll-free number during Nickelodeon programming. Voting began March 12 and continued online until April 21, the day of the awards ceremony. Six categories were exclusive to online voters.

The highlight of the evening occurred when surprise guest Tom Cruise received the first-ever Wannabe Award, presented to a celebrity role model kids most "want to be." The climax of the show featured two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice slimings of superstars, Tom Cruise and 'N Sync. With "Mission Impossible" zeal, Tom Cruise strode up to help mischievous Rosie O'Donnell with the sliming of a star -- and the good-natured Cruise was then drenched with green goo. Earlier, in the biggest sliming ever, 100 kids in the audience squealed with glee when the green goo splashed down on them.

In another unique moment in award show history Cameron Diaz demonstrated a very special talent in the first-ever celebrity burp-off, held during red carpet arrivals, and walked away proudly with First Place honors.

Multi-platinum-selling artists Backstreet Boys, Destiny's Child and the first-ever pairing of Aaron Carter and Lil'Bow wowed the live audience with their biggest hits. Other celebrities participating in the show included Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Carson Daly, Ray Romano, Jessica Alba, Rob Schneider, Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Paul Hogan, Jessica Simpson, Leslie Carter, Spy Kids Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara, Tony Hawk, Shaquille O'Neal, Chyna, The Rock, Halle Berry, Jason Biggs, Rachael Leigh Cook, James Van Der Beek, Frankie Muniz, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, Christina Vidal, Dave Aizer, Jimmy Neutron, SpongeBob Squarepants, Barry Watson, Mila Kunis, Nivea, Sisqo and the Baha Men.
