STATEMENT OF FAITH

~ Statement of Christian Faith ~

I Believe:

That God our Father is one Lord and there is no other God but Him. (Deu 6:4, Mrk 12:29, 32)

That God our Father's name is Jehovah. (Exo 6:3, Psa 83:18, Isa 12:2, 24:4)

Whosoever calls on Jehovah's name out of a pure heart in the name of Jesus Christ shall be saved.  (2 Sam 22:4, Act 2:21, 2 Tim 2:22, Joh 16:23)

The Holy Scriptures are the inspired word of Jehovah. and are without error in the original writings, and they are the revelation of His will for the salvation of man and the divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. (2 Tim 3:16)

There is one God, one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. (I Tim 2:5)

That Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb 13:8)

That Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died as a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. He arose and ascended into heaven where he sat at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

That by death of our mediator Jesus Christ for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those that were called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (Heb 9:15)

That the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide our salvation for all who believe.

That only those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can be born of the Holy Spirit and thus can become children of God.

That man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through faith in Jesus Christ can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

That we should seek first the kingdom of heaven (Mat 6:33),  and repent of our sins (Mat 4:17); cleansing ourselves of defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ( 2 Cor 7:1)

That water baptism is an ordinance to be observed by all believers in Jesus Christ until His return.

That the church is composed of all such persons who through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ can receive a gift of the Spirit and can be united together in the body of Christ. (1 Cor 12:1 - 13)

In the resurrection to everlasting life and joy of those that believe and follow God's word; of the unbeliever to eternal separation from Jehovah.

That faith without works is dead (Jas 2:20); preaching the gospel of God's new kingdom throughout the world is important so the end of things as we know it will come. (Mat 24:14)
