NEWS BITS
The Sun brought us pictures this week of the girls filming the video for their new single "Call The Shots". Here's the article and pics...
GIRLS ALOUD ARE FLAMING BEAUTIES
ONLY GIRLS ALOUD (oh, and maybe VICTORIA BECKHAM) could get away with tottering in high heels on the beach.
The girls strutted their stuff in colourful clobber as the cameras rolled for the video of their new single Call The Shots.
The five-piece were filming on a beach in Malibu, California, and at one stage it looked as though SARAH HARDING had taken people telling her she has a "hot ass" literally when she almost sat in a naked flame.
That would have been Something Kinda Ouch...
And here are some more pics thanks to Girls Aloud Media:
Betty Boo hit back at Cheryl in OK! magazine...
CHERYL COLE BRANDED A "SILLY OLD COW" BY BETTY BOO
Former 90's popstar Betty Boo, has come out fighting calling Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole a "Silly Old Cow" and challenging her to "fisticuffs". The pair fell out after Cheryl accussed Boo, real name, Alison Clarkson, of lying when she claimed to be writing songs for a solo album by the Geordie beauty.
"It's sad that people have to say these things to get a bit of publicity off the back of us", Cheryl snapped. But the songwriter hit back, bitching, "I need the publicity? Silly Old Cow. We need to have fisticuffs together. I think she is really nasty. Northern Girls wee up the wall".
Cheryl's not sorry for the nightclub incident...
CHERYL COLE: 'I'M NOT SORRY FOR NIGHTCLUB ASSAULT'
GIRLS ALOUD singer CHERYL COLE has vowed never to apologise to the British nightclub worker she savagely assaulted in 2003.
The 23-year-old was convicted of actual bodily harm after hitting toilet attendant Sophie Amogbokpa in a Surrey venue, and was ordered to complete 120 hours of community service and given a $7,000 (£3,500) fine.
But the Sounds of the Underground hitmaker is adamant her victim will never receive an apology.
She says, "I wish it hadn't of happened, it lives with me . But I won't apologise."
And finally an article about Cheryl in LA...
CHERYL COLE MEETS THE LOCALS IN LA
Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole took in some of the more interesting sights of LA while in town to film a new TV show.
The singer - dressed in skimpy white hotpants, boots and a fashionable fedora - posed for photos with two alien dolls on a bench before holding up a sign which rudely read "kiss my ass".
Cheryl is in LA to film TV show Passions. The 24-year old singer - who grew up in a tough district of Newcastle - will be taught 'krumping', a jerky US dance style which featured on the video for Madonna's single Hung Up.
She'll then be put through a series of tough routines by a top choreographer in readiness for her public debut.
And it isn't just in any old part of the city that she'll be strutting her stuff in. Cheryl will be taking to the streets of Compton - voted the most dangerous city in America.
Unsurprisingly, Cheryl's husband Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole is reported to be a little concerned about his wife's latest venture.
"Ashley is really worried as Compton is notorious for having a lot of crime," a source told the Daily Mirror.
"But Cheryl's really excited about it as she's always wanted to do this and can't stop talking about it. She grew up in a tough area... so she knows how to handle herself."
The Girls Aloud singer recently quashed rumours she was prepapring to go solo. Cheryl was outraged when songwriter Alison Clarkson, also known as Betty Boo, gave a radio interview claiming that Cole had asked her to write a song just for her.
But Cole said: "We're still finishing the new album, which I have to say is our best yet.
I'm not sure why anyone would think I would want to work on a solo album now.
"It's sad that people have to say these things to get a little bit of publicity off the back of us."
And just to underline the point, Cheryl was joined by her Girls Aloud pals in LA, where they put in some time relaxing by the hotel pool.
Nice work if you can get it.
