Clay Dumps Manager in Image Shakeup

"AMERICAN Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken is singing a new tune - Meet the new boss! US Weekly reports that Aiken has sacked his management company, 19 Entertainment - founded by "AI" creator and father-figure Simon Fuller.

Aiken, who's got a top-selling CD, "Measure of a Man," has inked a deal with The Firm, a high-octane Hollywood agency that reps Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio, the magazine reports.

"It's a logical move," a source tells US. "He wants to branch out into film and TV."

It also seems to be a move on Aiken's part to get away from being identified with "American Idol," which launched him into superstardom.

"19's relationship with Clay is as strong as ever," a spokesman for the management company told The Post, suggesting that Aiken was not dropping them, just adding a second manager.

"Nothing contractually has changed," the spokesman said. "Clay will be taking on additional personal management."

Aiken finished a close second to Ruben Studdard in last year's "American Idol."

The redhead has gone on to sell millions of CDs and remains extremely popular.
