Dear Lucille –

I don’t think I’ve slept a full night since I’ve taken this job.  I’m heading for the studio as I write this.  Aren’t laptops wonderful?  Isn’t e-mail wonderful?  Anyway, I think I may have to go on Prozac before this gig is over.  My stop is coming up; I’ll talk to you later.

Love, Tals

Taliah walked into the studio, late, as usual.  “Hey Jake” she smiled, kissing his forehead on her way to her chair.  “Hey babe” he smiled, turning his head toward the window to the recording booth.  “They’re here already, huh?” she asked nervously.  He laughed.  “Yeah, they were on time,” he said.  “Funny Jake, funny.” She smiled, hitting the microphone button.

“Hey guys” she said, trying to mask her nervousness.  All five looked up, smiled and waved.  Justin held his gaze longer and winked.  He still had it, he definitely still had it. She smiled in spite of herself.

JC's eyes lingered on Taliah awhile longer.  Had she always been so amazing and he was just noticing this now?  She lit up the room!  He’d been stupid in the past, but that ended now.

Flashback

“I love you” he whispered as he entered her.  The covers lay strewn about and his lips wandered down her bare shoulders.  Taliah smiled erotically as her hips pulsated against his.  “I love you” she whispered back.  “I love you too”.

“Ok guys, let’s wrap for the day” she smiled.  Jake gathered his stuff together as the guys left the booth.  “Tals, you wanna do dinner tonight?” he asked.  She smiled.  She always called Jake “Old Faithful”.  If he weren’t gay, her dating life would’ve been a lot easier.  “Yeah, call me.  I’m just gonna wrap a few things up here, then I’m all yours.”  He smiled and kissed her on the forehead on his way out the door.

“Well, well, well.  Taliah Cusak… how the hell have you been?” Joey said, wrapping her into an enormous bear hug.  She laughed, “Hey Joe!” she said.  She hugged Chris and Lance working her way down the line.  She smiled as JC and she embraced.  Old crushes die hard.  Speaking of old crushes…

She paused slightly before she embraced Justin.  “Hey baby” he whispered, “it’s nice to see you again.” He smiled as he took her into his arms.  Taliah closed her eyes as his arms wrapped around her and all at once the seven years since they last saw each other vanished.

Dear Lucille –

What a great day!  All my nervousness vanished the second that first note was sung.  I really have missed them!  Admittedly, it was a little awkward with Justin around, but nothing I couldn’t handle.  They’re even better than I remembered.   It’s nice to know that some things will never change.

Love, Tals

PS:  Justin has never looked better.

Taliah sat on the larger than life easy chair in her living room.  Jake had left about an hour ago, leaving her to herself to write what could be the next number one hit of the pop music world.  Not long into the first verse, a knock on the door startled her out of her trance.

“I hope you don’t mind me dropping by like this,” he said.  Taliah smiled at JC.  “Of course not.” She said, secretly wondering what he was actually doing in front of her.  She decided to press her luck and let him stay.  What was the worst that could happen?

An hour later, her and JC sat in her living room snacking on popcorn and watching a movie that neither of them were actually watching.  Talking over old times always made Taliah smile.  “So why’d you let it all go?” he asked.  “Simple.  It stopped being fun.” She answered, lying a little.  “Simple as that huh?” he smiled.  “Of course it stops being fun, but that’s right before it starts to get amazing.”  Taliah smiled and tried to change the subject.  “On another note, the past seven years have been fun watching you five blow up all over.”  JC looked at his hands and wouldn’t catch her eyes.  She grabbed his hands and asked the unthinkable.  “Are you happy, Josh?”  He looked up, almost shocked, but smiled slightly.  “Professionally, yes.”  He answered.  She smiled in spite of herself.  It was somewhat comforting to know that she wasn’t the only one with relationship woes.

Then out of the blue she asked, “Josh, why didn’t you ever see me?” she asked quietly.  Josh seemed somewhat surprised, although he felt like he shouldn’t have been.  “I see you now” he answered, looking right at her.

His mouth found hers in a rapid lip lock, leaving them both dry mouthed at the end.  He pulled her down onto him on the floor of her living room.  Caressing her with passion that seemed bottled up for the last seven years.  She smiled as he unbuttoned her jeans, kissing upward toward her naval, his tongue playing around the ring.  He lifted her shirt over her head and cupped her breasts in his hands.  Removing her bra in one motion, his lips found hers, desperate with desire.

The fire blazed on, illuminating their passion.  She liked the feeling of him inside of her, more than she ever could have even imagined.  She rolled on top of him as he ran his hands over her back.  Their lips met once again, he smiled.  She looked on at his happiness, overjoyed.
