...With You

Chapter 16

Madison walked into Radio City Music Hall. She started at MTV two weeks ago and loved every minute of it.
"Hi Madison" Tim yelled.
"Tim, just the person I wanted to see. Did they tell you our assignment yet?" she asked.
"Yeah, you're helping Carson with TRL from here." He said.
"Alright, thanks Tim. You're a lifesaver!" she smiled.
"Ah. I try." Tim said. "I'll have the camera ready when you are."
"Alright, great." Madison said, while going into makeup and wardrobe.

**~*~*~*~**

"Nsync, you're up next!" yelled the stage manager.
The guys took their place on the stage and got ready for rehearsal. Justin knew Madison was out there somewhere and just knowing that, made him happy and nervous at the same time.

**~*~*~*~**

"Madison, it's time" Tim came in the room.
"Alright." She smiled.
Madison walked out of the room and got set up to correspond with Carson back in Times' Square.
"Hey Madd, your boys are on stage." Tim smiled.
"What do you mean?" Madison smiled.
"Oh. Nsync are rehearing. You like them, don't you?" Tim asked.
Madison looked toward the stage and saw Justin dancing across the stage. She smiled in spite of herself.
"Madd? You ready?" asked Tim.
Madison snapped her head away from the stage.
"Yeah, I'm ready." She said.
"Alright" Tim said, starting to count down. "We're on in 5… 4… 3… 2…. 1… "

**~*~*~*~**

"Great show, Madd" Tim yelled into the dressing room.
"Thanks Tim" Madison turned around smiling. "Any word from Carson?" she asked.
"Yeah. He's meeting Tara for dinner. He asked you to join them, but call him at home and let him know." Tim said.
"Alright. Thanks!" Madison said.
She was just about to turn out the light when he walked in.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite person at MTV!" he yelled.
Madison turned around.
"JC!" she smiled. "How are you?" she asked, running over to give him a hug.
"I'm good. I'm good" he answered. "You're looking as good as ever." He smiled.
"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself." She smiled.
They walked out talking and laughing.
"Madison!" yelled the other four.
"Look at that, my favorite guys!" Madison smiled, walking over to all of them.
She greeted each of them with hugs and stopped at Justin.
"How are ya, Madd?" he asked smiling, pulling her into a hug.
"Good, you?" she smiled.
"Can't complain" he said.
Madison smiled at him, wanting so much to just be able to kiss him.
The six of them chatted for awhile, until it was time for the guys to go. As the other four walked away, Justin pulled Madison into the dressing room and shut the door.
"I thought I'd never get you alone." Justin smiled, pulling her close.
"And now that you do?" Madison smiled.
Justin pushed his lips against her and softly slid his hands down her back. She returned his kiss and clasped her hands behind his neck, keeping him close.
"It's been too long since I've been able to do that" Justin smiled.
"Last week?" Madison questioned.
"A week is still too long" he said.
"Agreed." She smiled. "But I'm glad you came to visit." She said.
"Me too. It was a good few days" Justin smiled.
"Yes it was." Madison nodded.
"I gotta get going" Justin said. "They're gonna come looking. Dinner tonight?" he asked.
"Yeah, sure." She agreed.
"Ok, I'll be by your place around seven" he said, giving her one last kiss before walking out the door.
Madison watched him walk out the door with her still standing there. Normally it killed her to watch him leave, but she knew he'd make up for it later. He hated leaving her as much as she hated him leaving.

**~*~*~*~**

::Knock, Knock::
Madison opened the door and saw Justin standing there with his hands behind his back.
"Hey there gorgeous" he smiled.
Madison smiled. "You talking to me" she asked.
"You bet" Justin said walking into her apartment.
"What do ya got there?" Madison said trying to take a look behind him.
Justin pulled his hands out from behind him holding a bouquet of flowers.
"For you, my lady" Justin said, smiling.
Madison smiled and took the flowers from Justin.
"They're beautiful, Justin. Thank you." She said.
"You're beautiful" he said, taking a step closer to her.
Their lips were about to meet when the phone rang.
::Ring, Ring::
Madison backed away from Justin to answer the phone.
"I'll be right back" she smiled.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Madd? Are you coming?" Carson asked, slightly annoyed.
Madison had been so involved getting ready for dinner with Justin, she totally forgot Carson had asked her to join him and Tara.
"Carson, I'm so sorry. I totally forgot to call you! I'm not going to go with you two, ok?" she said.
"Fine. You ok, though?"
he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine Carson." She answered "Thanks for the invitation though."
"No problem. I haven't see you a lot lately, except at work. Can we do lunch tomorrow? Just us?" he asked.
"Definitely. It's a date." She smiled.
"Ok, good. Love ya, sweetie." He said.
"I love you too. See you tomorrow" she answered and hung up the phone.
Justin came from behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist and nestled his face in her neck.
"Another man?" he asked.
"Ha. Just Carson." She smiled.
"I see. Does he know? About us, I mean." He asked.
"No. He doesn't." she answered.
"You serious? I thought you told each other everything?" he said, loosening his hold around her.
"We do. I just didn't know what to tell him about this." She said, walking away from him.
"It's killing you, isn't it?" Justin asked.
Madison looked up into his eyes. "It's fine Justin, really. If this is what we have to do, then we do it." She said seriously.
"Madison, I know what you're going through. My best friends don't know either." He said, sitting down on the couch.
"Speaking of… What do you tell them when you go out?" Madison asked.
"I tell them I'm going out with a friend." Justin answered, smiling. "It's the truth, isn't it?"
Madison smiled back at him. "Very true." She replied "You just wanna get dinner here?" she asked.
"That's good with me." He answered. "Now I believe we were in the middle of something before Carson called.”
Madison smiled and leaned toward Justin and kissed him on the cheek.
"Oh, come on Madd. We can do better than that!" he teased.
He leaned toward her and captured her lips in a deep passionate kiss. She leaned back and laid back onto the couch with Justin climbing on top of her. Dinner would just have to wait.

**~*~*~*~**

Justin laid awake in Madison's bedroom. She was peacefully sleeping closely next to him. She was so beautiful just laying there. He looked at the clock. 2 AM. This should have been about the time he would leave to get back to the hotel, but he couldn't tear himself away from her. He never could. Keeping this secret was harder than he had ever thought possible. It killed him to lie to his friends about where he was going and what he was doing. He was always afraid of getting caught. But, most of all, he hated having to hide his feelings for Madison. She meant more to him than anything, he hated that she had to hide out as well. Now she was lying to her friends, or at least to Carson, which he knew meant more to her than she led Justin to believe. Her head moved and Justin looked at her, startled.
"Hey." She said softly. "You getting ready to leave?" she asked.
Justin smiled at her. "No, baby. I'm going to stay" he said, making the decision.
"Are you sure?" she asked, propping herself onto her elbows.
"Yeah, I'm sure" he said kissing her forehead.
"But what about -- " she started. "Madison. I'll talk care of it." He interrupted her. "I wanna stay with you tonight."
She smiled and started to close her eyes again.
"Madison?" he said.
"Yeah?" she answered.
"Can I just say something to you?" he asked.
"Of course." She said. "You can tell me anything." She said, sitting up.
"Good" Justin smiled, sitting up next to her.
He looked at her sitting there, and she had never looked so beautiful. He smiled.
"Madison, I love you." He said. "I am totally and completely in love with you."
Madison looked into his eyes and knew that he went exactly what he said. He loved her. A tear began to fall from her eye. She smiled and wiped away the one tear.
"I love you too, Justin" she said smiling. "I love you so much"
He leaned in and kissed her. They held each other for what seemed like an eternity.
"I want nothing more than to be with you, Madd." Justin said into her ear.
"I want you too, Justin. More than anything" she said softly.
He pulled away from her and saw her smiling back at him. They slid back down into the bed and held each other, loving each other, until the sun came up.
