Leighanne couldn't believe it. "Am I seeing things?" She looked back at the picture and sure enough it was Brian. Tears stung her eyes. "Is Brian cheating on me? Can he be seeing Nicole behind my back? No he can't do that. That's not him. Then again the way he looks at Nicole...." Leighanne couldn't think anymore. She went outside for a jog. It always helped refesh her mind. When Lieghanne came back home she saw Brian sitting on the couch waiting for her. "Where have you been? I was worried sick!" Lieghanne had come to an explanation. Brian probably doesn't have feelings for Nicole anymore because she's dating AJ and Brian's not the type of guy who would ruin his career and friendship over a girl. But she decided to still keep a watch over things. "Well? Where were you?" Lieghanne snapped back into reality, "Oh I went out for a jog." "You know that's not safe, especially in your condition." "Brian chill. The doctor said it's ok to excercize." "If you say so, but be careful next time. I don't want anything to happen to you," Brian hugged Lieghanne," I love you!" Brian said, kissing her. "I know, I love you too!" Lieghanne yawned. " I'm sleepy, I'm gonna go to bed now." "It's only 7:00." "I know but I had a busy day and I'm pretty sleepy." "Ok then I guess your not up to wrestling in bed like always!" Brian said with a smirk. Lieghanne poked Brian with her elbow, " Brian!" "What? We're married now, I can talk like that can't I?" "Shut up Brian!" "Ok I'll head over to AJ's!" Lieghanne's head jerked up. "Why?" "Oh well I'm um.. um... bored and I guess I'll just head over and I have something to take care of." Lieghanne knew that Brian wasn't telling the truth because he couldn't look her in the eye when he talked. "Ok whatever!" "Bye! Good night and sweet dreams!" Brian said, heading out the door. Lieghanne dazed into a bad sleep. Lieghanne woke up the next morning to and patted Brian's side of the bed. It felt cold like it hadn't been slept in for eternity. There was a crashing sound coming from the living room. Lieghanne shot out of bed, hoping it wasn't another crazed fan. But what she saw was much worse. There was Brian, leaning on Nicole's shoulder, with his hand on her butt. He was laying little butterfly kisses all over her neck and whispering words of love. Nicole dropped him on the sofa and turned to head out the door. Before she could leave, she heard Brian. "I love you!" he said. Lieghanne, who was watching this whole scene, let out a shocked cry. By this time, Nicole was long gone. "How could you? I trusted you!" Brian seemed too drunk to take notice of Leighanne, but he immediatly shot up. "What? What happened?" Brian seemed like he had no clue about what Lieghanne had seen. "Don't you dare play these little games with me. I know what I saw and I saw you kissing Nicole and what hurts even more is that you said you loved her!" Leighanne was in tears now. Brian's eyes went wide and he had a look of bewilderment on his face. "I...what?" Brian managed to choke out. "That's right! That's exactly what I heard. And I also saw that picture of you and Nicole in the yearbook. I'm not as clueless as you think I am. I have rights. I am your wife, and I lay all my trust on you just to be betrayed! What were those vows for? What is this baby for, Brandon, for?" Lieghanne patted her stomach. Brian tried to calm Leighanne down. "Babe...Liegh...hold up...CHILL!" "What? Another one of your excuses?" "I didn't think I would have to do this but...hold up." Brian ran into their bedroom and bought out a piece of tape. He bought the tape closer to her mouth." "Don't push me to use this on you." Lieghanne immediatly shut up. "Ok. Ok. I'm listening." " I didn't want to have to tell you this but....I'll tell you everything from the beginning. Back in high school, we, Nicole and I, were the best of friends. Pretty soon, that friendship turned into a crush and that crush developed into love on both our parts, or so I thought. We, correction, I thought we were madly in love with each other, so we got engaged. Then something happened while I was away on tour, and we slowly drifted apart. I asked her one final time if she still wanted to get married, and she said "yes." On the night that we were supposed to get married, she didn't show up. So I went to look for her. When I reached her house..." A sob escaped Brian's mouth and a tear made its way down his cheek. " I...I found her in bed with my best friend!" Brian couldn't take it anymore, he bawled, " all this time, I had thought she loved me, but on our wedding night of all nights, our wedding night, she stood me up and cheated on me." Lieghanne could feel Brian's pain. "Bt what does that have to do with AJ?" Lieghanne asked. "That's what I don't get. Nicole's not capable of loving anyone. She's selfish and she's hurt too many people. I'm tryin' to figure her out. I'm scared she's gonna hurt AJ too. AJ's young, he can't handle this. His easy going style is one of the main things that keeps the Backstreet Boys alive. If that's gone....." "I understand what you mean. But where the hell did you go last night? And why did you come home the way you did! Do you know what that felt like? It was like a needle was poked through my eye!" "I know, I'm sorry...but I really don't know what happened. I think she drugged me." "I'll let it go this time, but if I ever see you like that again....I don't know what I'll do." Brian enveloped Leighanne in a hug and she started crying. "Honey, I'll always love you! After Nicole, I thought that I had done something wrong and I was to blame for what happened. I didn't have a good self-image of me, that is until the Backstreet Boys came along. Even then, I still felt incapable of being loved. When you came into my life, I felt like a whole new person. And now I can't imagine life without you." "Aww that's so sweet." Lieghanne yawned. "You woke me up from a deep sleep and I gotta get back." " Hey, I'm commin, although I wanna do more than just sleep!" Brian smirked.
