Chapter 22
Nick ran in behind Shyan, who was walking over to the couch. Trying her best to get away from Nick.
"Listen Shyan, I'm sorry." He said. He got no reply and figured it was best to just leave her alone. So he went upstairs to go to bed.

Later the next day she got up and cooked a nice breakfast for everyone. While she was almost done she heard someone coming into the kitchen.
"Good Morning." Nick said.
"Yeah um good morning." She replyed and went back to her cooking.
There was silence between the two of them. Nick finally decide to speek up. "Can I help you?"
"Sure you can set the table for breakfast and put all this food thats been cooked over there." She told him without making any eye contact with him.
"Should I wake up Nicky?" He asked after he had finshed with what he was doing.
Shyan had just finshed cooking. "Um, no thats okay I'll go since I'm done here."
After she brought Nicky down, they sat down for breakfast. Through out the breakfast Nick and Shyan didn't say anything, for the most part. They were almost done with breakfast.
"Mommy why everyone quiet?" Her son asked her sweetly.
"Oh, uh there just nothing to talk about honey." She quickly made up a lie and got up to clear her plate.
"So Nicky do you want to do something today?" Nick asked his son. "How about I take you to Disney Land?" He reasoned.
"Oh yes I wanna go Disney Land." He said. Even though Nicky was very young he could diffenitly talk, maybe not perfect but he could talk. "Mommy, I go with daddy?"
"Yes, honey you can go." She finally looked up at Nick. "You sure you have time?"
"Yeah diffenitly. And even if I didn't I would make time!" Nick said. "You comin'?"
"Peasssss mommy!" He son begged.
She thought for a sec. "Yeah sure why not?"
"Yayyy!" Nicky screemed of joy.
Shyan just smiled and went to go change.

"Nicky wanna go on that ride right over there?" Nick said pointing to a little kids roller coast ride.
He just stared blankly at the ride.
"Are you afrid?" Shyan asked her baby boy.
He just nodded his small little head.
"You know there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of, honey." She reassured him.
"Yeah Nicky. Go on the ride you'll love it!" Nick said.
Nicky finally agreed.
While Nicky was on the ride. Nick and Shyan stood there watching there son. The silence was unbarerable. Nick was getting ready to say something when he was interupted. Nicky came runing back to his mommy and daddy.
"Now that wasn't so bad was it?" Nick asked wail picking up Nicky again.
"It fun!" His eyes sparkled.
After a wail they decided to stop somewhere to eat and after a few more rides they headed home.

Since they had been in Orlando by the time they had gotten back it was pretty late out and Nicky had fallen asleep in the car. Nick picked him up and carried him back inside and to his bed.
'He really does make a great father.' She thought smiling. She snapped out of her own thoughts and went inside to her bedroom to change and get ready for sleep. As soon as she got into her bed she heard a knock on her door.
"Come in." She said knowing it was Nick. They just stared at each other for a second befor Nick said something.
"Um...hey." He said smiling at her.
"So what up?" She asked him.
"We need to talk."
"No we dont." She said knowing where he was getting at.
"Shyan! You know we do and stop trying to act like nothing happend cause we both know something did."
"Just leave me alone!" Shyan said as she walked out and down to the door to leave.

Shyan sat alone outside gazing into the beautiful ocean under the midnight blue sky on the pearly white sand. 'How could everything seem so prefect outside when her life was not?' She wondered. She sat there hugging her knewws with her forehead reasting on her knees.
She kept thinking about Nick, Nicky, and herself sobbing quietly.
"I wish things were different." She thought allowed thinking nobady was there.Someone came behind her and put their arms around her neck from behind while the person said behind her. Without a doubt she knew who it was. She quickly wiped away the tears.
"You okay?" Nick asked concerned. When he didn't get an answer he worried a bet. "What did you mean earlier when you said, 'I wish things could be different'?"
"Nothing." She repled.
"Listen I'm sorry about before." She just nodded. "You know Shyan I'm sorry to say this but I really don't understand you anymore. I knew what you were thinking the night I kissed you! Don't think I don't know what your thinking right know! You know I just dont get it. You wanted me to kiss you that night and I wanted the same why did you flip out. Even if you don't want to admit it I know you love me and I love you too. But if you honestly dont, tell me now before we both get hurt. This isn't a game so tell me the truth." When she didnt answer Nick got up and left.

Nick was inside doing something in the Living Room, and Shyan had just came in. Nick looked up and then went back to what her was doing.
"Nick..." Shyan said causing him to look up staring at her. He watched as Shyan walked up closer to him until she stood face to face in front of him.
"I love you Nickolas Gene Carter!" She said giving him a passionite kiss and hug. He pulled back but still holding her.
"I love you too Shyan!" He kissed her again.
"I'm sorry Nick I just don't want to hurt you anymore!" She cried on his shoulder.
"It's okay, it's okay." He said calming her down.

A wail later they were both siting on the couch. She smiled and giggled.
"Damnit Shyan I am trying to be serious with you. Whats so funny?" He asked confused. Nick was trying to be serious and ask Shyan something but she kept saying no.
"You haven't really changed have you? Your still the same old Nick that will not take No for an answer."
"Yup thats me. Now Will you go to the moives with me tomorrow as a date? Oh and remember i dont take No for an answer." They both laughed.
"I cant, who's gonna watch Nicky."
"We can drop him off at a nice daycare center. Oh c'mon please?" He begged.
"You know you sound just like Nicky!" She smiled again. "Okay I'll go with you on a date, but just one date!"
"Okay! YAHHH!!!!" He pretended to be a child. 'After this date you'll diffenitly wanna go on another one trust me Shyan.' He thought.
