The next morning, she forced herself up and got in the shower.  She turned on the hot water and got in.  The water heated up almost instantly and she got it to the right temperature then turned the shower on.  She just wetted her hair for a while, just standing under the water enjoying the feeling of the hot water cascading down her shoulders, back, chest, legs and stomach.  She grabbed the shampoo and put some in her hand then massaged it into her scalp and hair.  Then picked up the conditioner and massaged it in then grabbed the soap and washed her face.  She started at the top and worked her way down.  She didn’t stop until she was at her toes.  She then rinsed her entire body off and hopped out.  She wrapped the towel around her and wiped off the mirror.  She needed music to help her focus on getting ready or she would drive herself crazy.  She then plugged in her CD player and popped in Usher “8701”.  She automatically put on number five and began to sing:

When you feel it in your body you found somebody who makes you change your ways like hanging with you crew, said you act like your ready but you don’t really know, and everything in you past you wanna let it go, I been there, done it, humped around, after all that this is what I found, nobody wants to be alone, if you’re touched by the words in this song then baby you, you got it, you got it bad, when you’re on the phone, hang up and you call right back, you got it, you got it bad, if you miss a day without you r friend your whole life’s off track, you know you got it bad when you’re stuck in the house, you don’t wanna have fun, cause all you think about, you got it bad when you’re out with someone, but you keep thinking ‘bout somebody else, you got it bad

She was ready in 40 minutes.  Fully dressed in a pair of shorts and tank top ready to move into her apartment.  She got there and got everything situated in her new place.  She did have to make a trip to goodwill to pick up some furniture.  She couldn’t afford to go to a nice furniture gallery to buy a couch and kitchen table so settled for good old used.  She thought about the night before, seeing the Backstreet Boys at that club.  What were the odds?  She thought that Kevin was the sexiest member.  He was tall, dark and handsome.  She loved that in a man.  Contrary to what most people thought she thought that his dark, thick eyebrows were very sexy.  What she wouldn’t give to lick whipped cream off of them.  Hell, she would lick whipped cream off of any part of his body!  She regretted not going up to them that night but she didn’t want to be some fan.  She wanted to let them have their fun being real people for once.  » She quickly dismissed it from her mind and concentrated on finding a grocery store and filling her cabinets with food.  She bought a quite simple apartment.  It was a fixer-upper. The apartment was more like an abandoned warehouse with the coarse, faded red brick walls, high, unfinished ceilings, large windows and hard wood floors that looked like new.  She loved it.

After an afternoon of shopping she had everything packed up in her cabinets.  She didn’t have much else to do except have a night on the town. Brooklyn decided to look for a karaoke bar in town.  She went down to a pay phone on the street outside her apartment to look and found one and hailed a cab.  She didn’t have stage fright at all.  Brooklyn was a ham; she loved getting attention.  All the confidence she had in her voice shone on stage.  She put everything in to every song she sang whether is be by another artist or one of her own.  Though, she wasn’t much of a songwriter.  She just didn’t have the talent to pen songs by herself, even though she tries.

Once she got to the bar she sat down and put her name on the list.  Everyone there was just joking around or drunk up on stage.  She was serious about every song she sang.  Brooklyn put her name on the list and requested to sing “One In A Million” by Aalyiah.  This song showed her wide vocal range.  She loved singing it.  She had a glass of water before they called her name and went up there.  She got a couple whistles from the men in the back.  As the song began, Brooklyn closed her eyes and let the notes fly out with everything she had, putting her soul into the music.  It only seemed as if she was up there for seconds before she got to the end and people were on their feet applauding her.  Bowing, she took her seat and had another drink, this time, a sex on the beach.
