"Well hello Mr. Littrell and Mr. Carter. What are you two gentlemen doing at this moive premier for "Payback of the Ex"?" a local television reporter asked in a an extaggered announcer type voice while grinning an extremely chessy grin as he nervously looking back and forth between the camera and the guys. *Jeez this guy takes chessing it up for the camera to a whole new level.* Brian thought to himself trying his best to not be rude by laughing at this guy. He quickly stole a glance at Nick and could tell her was thinking along the same lines.
"Well, I came to show ym support for my wonderful wife, Leighanne. And the rest of the fellas came to do the same." Brian said politely, while all he really wanted to do was get inside before he missed anything. "If you'll excuse us, we've got to get inside..."Brian said as he searched for a good reason to leave without seeming rude.
"Yeah, we're expected to be inside as guest of honor since they used our song, "Don't Want You Back" in the movie's soundtrack. It was very nice to meet you ...Troy Kiro." Nick said as he read Troy's Press pass.
"Yes it was very nice to to the both of you as well."
***LATER***
"Leighanne Littrell, how does it feel to look so dang good?" Brian asked inmitating a reporter as he walked up behind her. Slowly she turn around to face him.
"Well Mr. Littrell...It feels great, but you want to know what feels even better?" she asked letting a sly grin sneak across her face.
"Yes Mrs. Littrell, I would love to." he said as he stepped toward her and took a hold of her hands.
"Being here with my amazing, wonderful husband."
"Well I hope he doesn't mind if I steal you away." he whispered as a smile lit up his whole face. He gently placed her hands around the back of his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Oh I don't think my husband would like this at all Sir." she giggled.
"Really? Oh well, Too bad for him."
"I love you Bri."
"I love you too Leigh." he said softly placing a kiss on the tip of her nose.
"Mr. And Mrs. Littrell...Could I have a word with the both of you please?" a reporter called walking toward them quickly. It was obvious that he was not going to take 'No' for an answer.
"Sure." Leighanne said politely letting her arms drop away from Brian's neck. She stole a glance at him as he took his arms away from her waist and saw the disappointed look on his face that he always got when they were interupted by the press. *I'm sorry Bri, At least at home it's just you and me.* she thought to herself.
"So Leighanne, how does it feel to have you husband here to support you at this point in your career?" *Man this question gets old, and it's obvious, what do they think I'm going to say 'I hate it, I wish he never came to anything with me, he is a pain.' Well if that's what they wanted too bad for them!* she thought to her self.
"Oh it's so great, I love having him with me. He is so supportive of me and I love that about him..." she was cut off when Brian's beeper went off.
"Leigh, tell him we're got to go."
"You'll have to excuse us sir." Leighanne said as she took a hold of Brian's elbow and led him off to a corner so they could talk. "what is it babe?"
"Nick paged, I just thought it was a good excuse to get out of there..."
"Oh but Brian hon, I have to do this you know. I promise I'll make it up to you." she said gently kissing him.
"Ok, Sorry Leigh. I just miss being with you so much. It drives me insane."
"I miss being with you too but I need to do this just like you have to tour, and record and promote. Plus it'll be over soon and then we can go home." she said as she kissed the side of his mouth.
"Alright. Well I have to go find Nick so I'll find you a little later?"
"Ok. I love you Bri."
"I love you too." he replied kissing her cheek. "See you later Sweety." he said turning and walking away. Leighanne smiled as she watched his retreating back.
"So Leighanne, you able to answer a few questions for MTv?"
"Oh sure." she said turning to face a young woman who didn't look like she was old enough to be working for MTv at all.
"So did you enjoy flimming this movie?"
"It was a lot of fun. I haven't ever gotten to play that type of character and it was just kind of fun to make myself into this phyco woman who is hung up on her ex."
"How was it like to work with Josh and Micela?"
"They were both so sweet. I would be happy to work on another project with them."
"Did Brian visit a lot during flimming?"
"Brian came every day that he possibly could. He was so sweet throughout the whole project. I mean there are days when you just don't want to work. Especially when you have to shoot a scene where you fall backwards into a pool. But he either called or visited every single day of the shoot and that made those days that much easier."
"Yeah I know what you mean. Well Thank you very much for your time Mrs. Littrell." Leighanne sighed as she watched the girl scurry away. She hoped she still find Brian and Nick some where. 'I hope Brian isn't upset about earlier.' she thought. 'why would he be mad? He understands because he has to do the same stuff.' another voice reasoned.
"Leigh!!" she heard a voice cry. 'Not again...I just want to find Bri.' she thought to herself. "Leighanne!" the voice called out again but it was a lot. She looked next to her to find Celeste, Kevin, and Howie.
"Hey!" she exclaimed hugging Kevin. "I haven't seen you in forever."
"Yeah I know, me and Celeste have been pretty busy. But it's great to see you Leigh. Where's Bri?"
"He is with Nick somewhere. I was just going to go look for him."
"Oh. Ok well would you like to go look for him with us?"
"Sure. But first I have to do something." she grinned. "Howie are you not going to say hello?"
"Of course I am Leigh." he said as he hugged her lightly.
"Well Iet's see if we can find that husband of mine."
"Leigh, could you be looking for me?" She heard from behind her and didn't even need to turn around to know it was Brian.
"I certianly was sir." she said as she turned around to face him.
"You found me." he said as he wrapped his arm around her.
"Now that I found you, what do you say we get outta here? It's late and I'd like to go home."
"Sure thing babe." he replied kissing her cheek. "See you fellas later." he said as he hugged them.
"Thanks for coming guys." giving Kevin and Howie each a hug. "Celeste we'll have to get to together for a shopping trip while you're in town."
"You can count on that. Later Leighanne." she smiled.
~$~May 27th~$~
"Leigh hon I am so proud of you." Brian said as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her.
"Thanks baby." she replied kissing his cheek. "I was so glad to have you there with me."
"I was happy to be there."
"Yeah so was Nick. After all the fussing and whining he ended up enjoying himself."
"But every time Kayla came around him he forgot how to talk." Brian laughed.
"I feel bad for him. I think he and Kay would be great together if Nick could actually talk to her."
"Probably but that'll never happen."
"I've got an idea! Why don't you invite Nick over and I'll invite Kay."
"Don't you think that they'll know it's a set up?"
"You're right, we should invite a few more people. Josh, Kevin, Celeste, AJ and Howie while they are in town."
"Uh not Josh."
"Why? What's wrong with Josh?"
"Oh don't get me wrong...Josh is great. But Leigh if you are trying to set up Nick and Kay; inviting Josh would destroy any chance of that."
"Why?"
"He likes Kayla."
"Oh...I guess you are right. But we have to invite somebody else from the movie So Kay isn't the only one that isn't a backstreet boy."
"Well what about Allison? I mean she would get along with AJ perfect."
"That's perfect! And Howie can bring that girl he has been dating."
"So when is this little match making dinner supposed to take place?"
"Um how about on the 30th to celebrate the movie opening in theaters?"
"Sounds good. Ok well I'm going to start cleaning a bit." he said grinning. Leighanne just laughed as she watched him walk away. 'Bri and his determination to be normal.'
