youngstown_chat: We were contemplating what the name of the album should be, and we all agreed that it was a big fight to get on radio and MTV,

youngstown_chat: DC - But that had nothing to do with it!

youngstown_chat: Dallas: It's actually more us based onthe fact of h ow our personalities are, and our style, and the type of music that we love to listen to.
youngstown_chat: Basically the misconception is that in order for it to be you you have to write it, but that's not that case.
youngstown_chat: Because if you think about it, for years people have been touched by music...
youngstown_chat: We originally had four songs on the album that were ours, but they were ballads, so we wanted them off, because sometimes we like heavy, up tempo songs.

youngstown_chat: Sammy: I don't know, we hope they can grow along with us, I think it's definitely a great niche for us, we finally got our sound together,
youngstown_chat: the first album was kind of rough, or hard to find a niche, we were just starting out doing the whole recording process together.
youngstown_chat: When we started out we wanted to be writers and producers but a good opportunity came our way, so we took advantage of that.
youngstown_chat: So we didn't know what to expect out of this, that's why we named the first album Let's Roll, we knew it would be a great learning experience.
youngstown_chat: On this album, you can hear a new sound that is definitely our own, and it's new to us too.

youngstown_chat: Dallas: DFTGT is definitely a more mature album, faster, harder,
youngstown_chat: there is a lot of rock guitars involved in it, there is a lot of suggestive lyrical content,
youngstown_chat: it lets people know we are grown men and do have a sex drive so to speak...
youngstown_chat: It's more us, we've come into our sound with this album,
youngstown_chat: and even though we didn't write it and produce it, we did take all the songs on the album because we thought it represented us.

youngstown_chat: DC: probably because it was the best transition from the last album to the new album. WE didn't want to make a drastic jump,
youngstown_chat: so the single was actually was You Want What You Want, a straight rock single,
youngstown_chat: it was done as the B side, done by Michael Bradford, Kid Rock's bassist, we did it just to let people know what is in store for this record.

youngstown_chat: Dallas: I'd like to be on Janet's tour, because Janet is fine.
