3 WORLDS APART
Chapter 7
Kevin's View

"Okay, yep sure.  See you then."  I had just got off the phone with David Leery.  He's part of our management team at The Firm.  We were scheduled for the Rosie O'Donnell show next week.  Our flight was in 3 days.  As usual, David left me in charge of calling the band, and the rest of the guys.  Fun!  I wasn't really in the mood to call anyone… it had been a little while since I'd talked to Elyse, and no response from her.  (Okay, maybe it was only this morning that I spoke to her… but I expected a quick response!)  I guess she just didn't feel the same way that I feel for her.

"Hmmm… who shall I call first." I thought aloud to myself.  "Lets call my good ol' cousin Brian."

"Hello." drawled Brian, after the 5th ring.

"Hey dude, what took you so long?"

"Oh me and Colleen are still working on my kitchen."

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Remember Kev?  I threw up all over my kitchen."

"Oh yeah!"

"So what's up?"

"Well David Leery called.  He scheduled us for the Rosie show.  We have to fly to New York on Thursday, which is in 3 days."

"3 days?  That sucks.  Are we performing?"

"You bet B."

"Well Nick is coming over shortly, so I'll give him the news."

"Nick is
always at your house." I laughed.

"Hey any word from Elyse?"

"No, not yet.  I'm starting to lose hope." I replied, sadly.

"Nah, she'll come around.  You gotta give her a little time okay?"

"Yep.  I'd wait forever for that girl… as pathetic as that sounds."

"Kev, you're not pathetic.  Well let me go, Col's giving me the 'Get your ass over here and help me' look."

"Okay B.  Later."

"Bye Kev."

Two down… I thought, remembering that B was gonna let Nick know.  AJ's next.

1 ring, 2, 3, 4 rings…

"Yeah?" AJ mumbled.

"Bad day AJ?"

"Yeah."

"What happened?"

"I had a huge fight with Sophia.  She's been gone ever since we got back from the mall."

"What did you do this time?" I joked.

"Actually, I'm the one that's mad at her, but this is my house, so she left.  She just doesn't appreciate anything I do for her.  So I told her that, and she just got even more bitchy about it.  I love the girl, but she's gotta stop this 'spoiled brat' act."

"Wow… I totally get you buddy.  Well I'm sure you two will be all good in a few… eh, hours?" I said, slightly laughing.

"Hopefully."

"Can you do me a favor and call Howie and the rest of the Backstreet Band, and tell them that we're flying to New York in 3 days for the Rosie O'Donnell show?"

"Will do."

"Thanks AJ.  I'll talk to you later."

"Okay man, bye."

"Later."

Now that that was taken care of, I was free to relax the rest of the evening.  I settled on the couch and turned on the Bucs game.

"DONG."

I spoke too soon… I thought to myself, swinging open the door.

"Hey Kev."

Elyse's View

I could tell that he was completely shocked to see me standing there, at his front door.

"Oh hey, come on in." he replied, smiling, "Have a seat." he added.

"Thanks."

"So what can I do for you?"

"Well I was thinking about you all day.  You know, about what you said, and I…"

"And you what?" he asked, using a nervous tone.

"And I love you too." I blurted out.

His face lit up and he pulled me in for a hug.  When we finally pulled apart, he took my hand in his, and kissed me.  It was one of the sweetest kisses I've ever received from a guy.

"Wow." he mumbled.

"What?" I asked, curiously.

"Well, number 1, you're a great kisser.  Number 2, I can't believe this is happening." he replied, kissing me forehead.

"It's a beautiful day… wanna go for a walk?" I suggested.

"Sure thing." he replied, grabbing my hand and walking out the door.

Colleen's View

"Ahhh finally." I smiled, looking at Brian's spotless kitchen.

"Tell me about it." he replied.

"You know, you were a really funny drunk last night." I said, laughing.

"Was I really?"

"Oh yeah.  You were telling me some crazy stories."

"LET ME IN!!!" I heard Nick shout from outside.

"I'll get it." I giggled, running up to the door.

"Hey Collie." he said, with a devilish grin.

"It's called a doorbell Nick." Brian shouted from the kitchen.

"Yeah, yeah, blah, blah." he laughed, running over to Brian and knocking him to the floor.

"Guys, can we go one day without beating the crap out of each other?"

"Nope!" they both shouted in unison.

"Well, I'm gonna go for a walk.  Who's with me?" I asked.

"Eh, not me." Brian said, getting up off the floor.

"I'll go!" Nick snickered, jumping up off the floor.

"Okay, okay, chill kid." I giggled.

"I'll see you later B." Nick and I said, heading out the door.

"Have fun you guys." he replied.

Nick's View

"It's so beautiful out." Col sighed, as we walked.

"Yeah I know.  Hey is that Sophia?" I asked, suddenly, pointing towards the small park up the street.

"Oh yeah it is.  Lets go say hi."

We sat next to her on the bench and waited until she noticed up.  She looked up and smiled.

"Hey you two."

"Hey Cefi.  Have you been crying?" Col asked, concerned.

"That I have."

"What happened?" I asked.

"You don't know?"

We nodded our heads 'no.'

"Well AJ and I had a huge fight.  He says that he does so much for me, and I never show him any appreciation.  And you know what?  He's 100% right." she buried her head in her hands.

"Aw Cefi…" Col mumbled.

"I really wanna do something special for him.  To, you know, show him my love and appreciation for him.  I really love him guys, but sometimes I don't show it.  Give me some ideas.  I've been sitting here for hours and I've come up with nothing."

"Hmmm." I thought aloud.

"This is gonna be tough," Col added, "What can you do for a guy that feels unloved?"

"Haha… guys… I have an idea." I said, a grin spreading across my face.
